I live in SC and several years ago I bought solar panels for $60+K. Between paying for solar panels and an electrical bill I am paying a few more hundreds of dollars more than my bill used to be. No savings, because there is not a savings.

Electric cars are being used to rid the middle class of having a personal vehicle. A basic EV from ford loses sixty thousand dollars. What is the base cost for a basic EV from any manufacturer? My guess would put it at near one hundred thousand with no subsidies. That is well outside the range of most middle class families. The EV cost would probably kill off most small businesses that require transport also. EVs are just a tool used for social engineering.

some officials see a correlation betwean the populations increased means of mobility and rising crime-rates. (considering the carjacking trend and there is also the possibility to use a vehicle in a terrorist attack) so there is that...

@@1nicko29 I would say there is a better correlation to increased crime including carjacking and terrorist attacks using vehicles in the west. Which is migration, illegal or otherwise, and social engineering attempts of western governments. But you will never see a study using those metrics because that would implicate the people that do not like spotlights for doing very bad things.

Most ev's have regenerative braking. If you have regenerative braking on, you don't use the brake pedal much, only when you are going very slow.
This cuts down on pm from brake pads greatly compared to conventional ic vehicles.

Some jurisdictions are charging a yearly EV fee based on yearly licence registration of the EV every year. Talk about a scam

if you really want to reduce carbon emissions you have to take away the financial ability to purchase a vehicle from the majority of earths population. by the end there will be armoured vehicles that fly or hover completely automated and possibly with defense capabilities build in for the super-rich. just like in the movies. For the rest of the people (my grandpa says, that) the horse carriage will soon have its comeback.

PETROL is ENDING. Accept it. We need to transition. Traditional automakers need to ramp up, not slow down. “Nobody wants these cars” is ridiculous. I see all Tesla’s over here. Great cars, great range

Great range? Lol let's see the cargo trucks turn EV then if they are so great. I remember after a FL hurricane EVs were abandoned all along the roads bc they were catching fire from water damage, while the gas and diesels were running along fine. Also the winter issues- where chargers won't charge and the owners were blamed bc they didnt put them in their heated garages (news flash, not everyone has a heated garage).

Get real. Remind me again how you get the electricity to top up your battery and remind me again about how they recycle the batteries? Also, can you remind be how they get lithium out if the ground? If I am correct, it’s children? All to make you rabid eco warriors think that you are ‘doing your bit’ for the environment.

Ask yourself how much petroleum products are required to manufacture one Ev's. From the mining equipment for raw materials to shipping all that to China for processing and all the other parts that are made. No petroleum, no Ev's. No such thing as a clean ev vehicle.
