It really is such a ruthlessly cruel world that we live in when these two beautifully young people are now no longer with us. I’m truly and utterly saddened for everyone that’s been left behind, but also for the two bright and wonderful futures that won’t ever get to be fulfilled. Tremendous sorrow this morning, as well as my deepest and most sincere condolences. Xx
@@henrycooper2401 Completely get what you mean Henry. It almost puts me in mind of Jade Goody’s passing slightly. Even though I never met the young woman, she still engaged enough with me that I was absolutely gutted to hear about her diagnosis in September 2008, so much so, that even despite her chequered past, I still remember mourning her death in March 2009. Tom’s journey wasn’t too dissimilar. I invested so much in his stabilisation for what seemed like a split second, now it’s barely been a month since the poor lad was laid to rest. I think it’s because I followed what initially seemed to be his progress, which I guess is why his death felt almost personal in a strange kind of a way and also why I totally understand and can relate to how you’re feeling as well.
@@connieoshea Jade's passing, poor soul 13 yrs now WOW was so hard aswell. Yeah totally get what your saying . I never followed his fight although i would catch snippets here and there. I wasn't a fan of them(maybe because i'm too old lol) although i thought their songs were brilliant. I think it's just the fact that when they died i did start looking through their videos and what an amazing young man and woman they both were. They both loved their families and both had amazing friends and were trying to help others with this cancer and bring awareness to a horrible disease. I watched the send off of the balloons for Amanis birthday and it brought tears to my eyes. My heart goes out to both families and hopefully they can be at peace sometime in the future knowing their son and daughter done everything they could to fight this. R.I.P AMANI R.I.P TOM R.I.P JADE
Scary to think that they have now passed away, they seemed so full of positivity and had a lot to look forward to in their lives. I feel that they were obviously meant to meet in this life and possibly the next 💕 RIP
I suffer severe Mental Health issues, and I find videos like this very helpful to help focus my broken brain to the light. I have no physical limitations, just a very bad brain, and can't simply can't comprehend how much strength these two had. Thank you for sharing, wherever you may be. I wish everyone who was touched by their time on this planet peace and love.
My brother was diagnosed with GBM4 in May 2017. He died 28 days later whilst waiting to start his treatment plan. He was just 40. It breaks my heart that the treatment options are still so poor.
So sorry to hear about your brother Nicola. A truly horrendous disease and so much more needs to be done in the UK to introduce more effective treatments and increase research.
Thank you both for having the courage to share. My brother had GBT 25 years ago and I relate to you're experiences in many ways. Praying for you both.x
Thank you both for sharing your stories/journeys and raising awareness. Your courage & strength is amazing . Best Wishes to both of you & your families
Amazing podcast as always! And such great interviewing skills :-) moving to hear your shared journey and the hard work that you're both doing to bring about change. Xx
Wow the level of strength is unavailable, ur story is amazing and may Allah give u guys more life because we need people like you, who will Inspire and educate the next Generation, which you will do. May Allah give you continuous strength. May Allah make it easy on your loved ones.
Wow they're having a laugh at IF IT WAS THE SECRET CURE. Two amazing people and i just got to hear about them because of their deaths, so sad. Sorry i have commented a few times. I don't even know them but it has just got to me.
The interesting thing with brain tumors is they both retained their personalities and the essence of who they are, till the end seemingly. That’s a rare thing with a disease in the brain. It also makes it sadder because you feel the full weight of losing the person vs dementia for example, where you slowly over time lose the person. Anyway- I was extremely sad with Tom’s loss and seeing this beautiful young intelligent woman Amani also pass away from this is so devastating. I don’t have a lot of money to donate to research but I’ll try to look for ways to give back.
As you probably eluded to that your family has done a lot of research but the thing that I found very helpful to me is pathway blocking.. I finished chemo and radio Feb 2020 but was diagnosed in Oct 19, I had my biopsy and other than the 6 week chemo radio and taking kepra I have done only protocols from care oncology and diet and a key one I have found is stress as well :) all fighting the same fight even if we have different journeys..
@@AliKhan-yx1dy Hi I am still doing not too bad thankfully. I am just awaiting my latest results but seems to be well... I find it difficult to talk about it because some people aren't as lucky as I am. But still keeping up the fight!
