I love her. I discovered her when on FB an article about her performance on CMA with drag queens came up. So I went to YT to check it out and then proceeded to get her whole discography.
This performance and reaction is really wonderful. Because your hometown and be an anchor, roots you grow up from but it can also be a ball and chain that keeps you from growing. Kacey Musgraves has a great song about the latter - Merry go 'round.
Do you speak Spanish? And would you ever react to Spanish songs? As there are so many wonderful ones.

Eric Church is the master of country storytelling- CrazyLand, Russian Roulette, People Break, Wrecking Ball, and Record Year are all brilliant.

Prominant Country artists born or raised or partly raised in the Knoxville metro area: Morgan Wallen, Kelsea Ballernie, Kenny Chesney, Con Hunley, Chet Atkins & Roy Acuff. Acuff and Atkins go way back and were real pioneers. Acuff was once called the king of country. Atkins was a famous instrumentalist; chiefly guitar but became a studio executive helping the genre grow immesnsely. Con Hunley wasn't all that big of a star, he had a couple top 5s. Whats the most cool thing is that all of these spent at least part of their childhoods on the North side of the city or county. Central High School and Gibbs keep showing up. Central is not really central city. It's on the north end; at one time was a county school; community is Fountain City.

Being from Knoxville and currently living in Nashville, and, watching a ton of your reaction videos previously, it made my day to see you watching/reacting to Kelsea Ballerini! She is a phenomenal singer and songwriter! She made all of her hometown fans very happy and proud with this song and video. And Kenny is always a plus!

Knoxville greater SMSA area has over a million people in it, probably 25 high schools, so it's not exactly Mayberry 😂. It's still a nice sentiment though. Wallen and Chesney both went to Gibbs, though many years apart. Ballerini went to Central. Other notables from town are Dolly Parton, Quentin Tarrantino, Johnny Knoxville, and of course, Peyton Manning adopted it. Beautiful area near the mountains.

That’s the thing about country artists…they’re willing to do stuff like Kenny did for Kelsea. Like you, I didn’t really have a “home town.” The closest I have is the western suburbs of Chicago because that was the longest I’d lived anywhere after my parents split and we moved back stateside from the Philippines (the last place my dad was stationed with the military).

Have you done any Miranda Lambert music? She’s a small town girl from Texas and is a top notch singer and has won many many awards. She writes a lot of her music. Check out her song “Tin Man”, written by her about her heart after her breakup with Blake Shelton. Watch the CMA performance, it’s her best song in my opinion.

Kelsea is one of my favorite women singers in the country music genre. She's got a lot of great songs, some serious and emotional, some that get you hyped, some silly and hilarious songs and she's got a fantastic voice. Other great women in country you should listen to are Shania Twain, Lauren Alaina, Carrie Underwood, Dolly Parton, Chevel Shepherd (just to name a few)

Sebs, I grew up in San Angelo, Texas, home of the Central High School Bobcats, too, but burnt orange and blue. My mother was an on-base civilian employee (chapel organist) at the local Air Force base, so we didn't move, but every 6 months to 2 years, my friends' families would be reassigned somewhere else. We (my siblings and I) got used to forming friendships quickly and spending as much time as we could with them until they moved on. So I have a hometown, but it's like I'm the other side of the coin that you're on. It's hard on both sides of that coin, but both sides also come with a wider understanding of people.

Yes I grew up up in my home town lived there for over 57 yrs but The same culture same beliefs result in bad things sometimes glad you’ve found the pride in country music of home but imagine 100 yrs of no diversity and political/religious inbreeding
