my dad was driving down an "irish road" with me and no lie we saw an elderly lady(at least75) walking a horse and donkey up the rd with 2 cats and 4 dogs following her and my dad pulled over to see if she needed help or anything and she said 'no just out for a morning stroll'. that didnt even come off as odd to us until we told a friend and they said it was weird. we now laugh about it and its a story for Christmas dinner. 😅😅

I remember getting stuck on the inside lane of a round about at peak traffic time !! And the worse part about it is driving on the opposite side of the road on the opposite side of the car then here in the U.S. !!
😂😂😂😂 it used to be my nightmare 😂😂 I'm laughing now. Irish roads with a width of 3 cm are a unique and magical feeling 🤪🙂👍😀 it's a pity that there are no such in Poland .. my compatriots would have more fun while driving 😀🤪🙂
Bad bit probably a private farm road .Council not responsible for private roads .This is a load of rubbish .Americans should look to their own major infrastructure problems before bashing other countries .
@@rosincox9799Nah its not a private road the lane that actually connects to my grandmas is private the shit Road is just never taken care of,have done the road to mine in probably-50 years

I live here and I don't think that when we went from miles to Kilometers that we realized that there two different distances and speeds and we still don't.
I'm Irish but have been living in France for 23 years. Normally my husband always drove when we visited Ireland. Five years ago I went back with youngest child and I was literally the same as that guy!
On a divided highway in Ireland, the speed limit is sometimes as low as 80kph, which feels a bit slow, but then you exit the highway to a pitch dark country road that winds up and down and around so you can rarely see more than 1 car length ahead, and it is ONE LANE wide for TWO WAY traffic, and the speed limit is 100kph!!!? SO TERRIFYING!!
When we were in Ireland, we drove up to the Dingle Peninsula which was amazing but, it's a veey barren place & the google maps narrator started stuttering as it was lost & so were we Loved Ireland & it's people!

You have to employed a technique called 'defensive driving'. Always assume every single car coming towards you or behind you a potential crash threat.
Is he driving or trimming the ditches
Hes in the ditch 💀
Yaaaa definitely didn't get stuck in a dich 2 times now
He's driving, the hedge trimming is just an accompanying factor (this is sarcasm btw)
Both😂😂😂
Ye the joys of the Irish roads
I know right 😂
True edit I liked my own comment
The best
Irish roads are fucking PERFECT! Comparing to ones we have in Ukraine you just drive on a soap. Ukrainian roads are... not well...
There so good

The lovely Irish roads
I miss when roads had a strip of grass down the middle, you don't see it as much anymore
There's still hundreds of them roads around Ireland, I could easily list 50 here in cork

The advantage is that one can drive anywhere and survive.

Ha ha did the same three times😂
Lol both of my parents cars the side mirrors are in bits, they're being held up by black tape and thoughts and prayers. It's a wonder they always manage to pass the NCT😅
😂😂😂
As an Irish man myself I can 100% agree with this
The roads are also bendy because the builders were too lazy to move any rocks that were in their way.
Ys these are the joys ❤❤
The shuck whispering to itself on the side of the road, “you know you want to fall in lad”.
Where the speed limit of 50 mph is actually a challenge ...not a limit 😅
Yup. I smashed a couple mirrors early on

As an irish lad I can confirm this is true
