I love it how non tournament players will always say things like no one uses snake edges in tournaments these are online strats, but they don't know that tournament nerves can make you do some crazy shit and can also make you not block some crazy shit. You should be ready for everything even "online strats"
I can only imagine playing tekken around that many eyes idk how I would match up even tho I host small tournaments at my house and do well but that many ppl and all the crazy styles I can see panic moves taking over and not really learning the opponent
He was just 1 round away from beating this very strong Eddy player in his first EVO ever, who knows how much further he would have progressed! He definitely has what it takes to reach top 64 especially with more practice, and hopefully less tournament nerves next time
Well hes right knee looks for the bad match up i feel bad the koreans are most likely to win if they use there main, people like majin and mm and phantom, the old school guys will us there mains faithfully going into the fire lol. they need secondarys for such situations, anticipated picks, koreans was ready for majin this evo. Lol.
U never expect 4/5 hellsweeps in a row in high level. Its like rock paper scissor U have to try and read the mind of the opponent, and actually getting hit by a ff3 or iws2 by kaz means much more dmg than a hellsweep so u have to be careful
@@EGP_TEKKEN nah it's just because if you wavedash u re allines with the opponent while he is tech rolling so the real answer for that is ducking or throwing a wake up kick, but really good mishimas tends to read ur wake up and throw a uf4 to stop you and to gain momentum. Anyway sorry for my english
it suck sometimes when you don't know the match too well and play eddy. I had the same situation playing jeondding in the set of round 3. I should of done my homework with eddy but I did not so I end up losing. But now I did my homework so hopefully I will put up a better fight.

I love that you are critical of yourself when speaking English when it is it your 2nd/3rd language on top of your amazing Tekken play with multiple characters and your Evo display is nothing short of what you deserve(mistakes, misreads and all)
You actually played very well. The only problem I've seen in this was you WHIFFED WAY TOO MANY EWGF! No shame in placing 97th out of 2000 players. As an Eddy main, kudos. I still want to bury you lol.
I just now realized "The Lion from the North" track by Sabaton about the king of Sweden Gustav Adolf in the background. What a great song choice haha, love that confidence.
Thats pretty cool man it looks like you really had fun playing at evo. I gotta say I've seen some of your matches and you played really well and did your opponents. Great games TMM and eddieboymang
Eddys ss3+4 is not safe. It depends on which hit you block. The first one that is high is always punishable (-14), the second hit which is mid is safe. Usually you pretty much always block the punishable high unless he is max range. But this move is very wonky, and you need to do research with your character since it is different what hit usually is the one connecting from char to char because of hitboxes.
@@Matt_Underwood So basically what I said in the original comment lol. And because of the range you are left at if the mid connects on block, its rarely ever punishable. Maybe by a 12 frame mid kick. Also im pretty sure I tested with a 15 frame mid launcher if you block the high, and that it didnt work. But i'll test again
@@Matt_Underwood Tested it now and yeah you are right about the high being -15~16 and mid -12. Only problem is that its hard to know when its only the mid that connects. So most people will go for the launcher every time (if their character has a launcher that reaches and is mid) when they learn that the high is launch punishable. Regardless, we agree that mainman made a wrong comment about it being safe, which it most definitely is not.
@@Matt_Underwood Yeah Eddy is a risky mix up oriented character for sure. But dude, it wasnt launch punishable early in tekken 7 :O Dont you remember Jeondding saying rip ss3+4? They nerfed it.
Wanting various opinions had a discussion with someone else but thoughts on button binding...I’m talking about binding to the max L1, L2, L3, R1, R2, and R3
this might sound stupid but at 3:09 when Eddy low parried MM, Do you think he heard him press the button so he could 50/50 the low parry? Also, in tournaments like this is it allowed to look at your opponents controller/joypad? This would make MM at a bit of a disadvantage, or I might just be stretching here.
Hey Hello love u r videos can u tell me if controller player are allowed there button mapping in tournaments mapping like 1+2 as L1 or 1+3 as L2 please tell me it would be a great help

The 4 hellsweeps in a row, that was comedy gold. Honestly if I was his opponent and ate 4 hellsweeps in a row I would lose my shit.
I think me too 🤣🤣🤣
Worst ones are the heihachi 5 hit hellsweeps

tbh people least expect online strats offline which can make them a trump card for trying to make a come back.
I don’t get hit by that stuff in tournament but I do fail to punish it correctly in tournament
Snake edge is an all powerful move in any setting.
Same with 5 hellsweeps in arow
