Time to thin your Fruit| Second Early potatoes | Update on Van Conversion| Fruit thinning is done |
In the backyard veg plot, we are now getting some nice harvests of Beetroot, sugar snap peas, early potatoes, radishes, and lettuce. The tomatoes are growing strongly with the cherry variety at five trusses.
Now we're into July, its time to look over your fruit trees (apples, plums, pears etc) and thin the fruits (i.e. remove a number from each cluster) this is good practice resulting in better quality fruit, reduces stress on the tree and minimises disease due to better air circulation.
I lifted on root of my second early potatoes variety ' Nicola' they're doing well and looks to be a promising yield.
I show our latest stage of van conversion and we can't wait to get it fully completed.
I will be going into hospital this week so will take some time off YT to facilitate my recovery. Let's hope the weather will improve!
