      Exactly. If you wanna lose weight, or for heart health - walking all day. Don’t even consider running. Especially until you’ve walked your weight down to a normal amount. Running is for skinny people.

      @@christianjon8064 Running will only fllod your system with the hunger hornone ghrelin and if you aren't disciplined with your diet can cause trouble in fat loss

      @@christianjon8064yeah! Body actually uses fat as fuel while walking but carb while running. So, walking obv is a better choice for losing fat, not weight

    I walk everywhere all the time. I'm a powerhouse of muscle and energy. No doctor visits ever.

      @@flexibleatheist my mom says I should start weight lifting and running should be done after my body growth since I am a teenager so should I start now.

      @@Fahad-369 weight lift but use moderate weight and body weight exercises. And eat healthy vegetables legumes and some organic eggs meat and wild blue fish ie anchovies

    Running increases heart stroke volume and increases capillary density more than walking does so running is better in that regard. For fat loss though I would say walking is better though. You tap into fat loss a lot better with walking.

    Walking,Before my grandma past on,she past on two things Cooking,and Walking!She would walk late at night,when i was very young to 20s.But these days isnt safe anymore to walk past 9pm due violence and people driving careless in this world.

      i live in a small italian town so walking at night is not a problem, at least im lucky in something ahah

    I'm going to try it. I have soo many thangs to do today. But, I find myself waiting for someone else when looking forward to a nice run.

    Or do burpees lol. Has the benefit of both while also being a strength training exercise.
    Although the therapeutic aspects of walking cannot be overstated.

    Used to force myself to run. Dreaded it. Couldn't wait to see home on the near horizon. Then I read "This Running Life" by Dr. George Sheehan and all that changed!

    Have u ever heard a phrase less is more? Yes walking in long run will benefit our entire body organs unlike jogging.just look at all marathon runners .sprint may look good but in long run will damage our body too.

    I need to start walking more often and get into a habit. I have walked from and to walmart a couple of times where I would have driven, just to get a feel for it.

    I cant run now im 60 and my knee hurts and even walki g i get heel and toe pain but grit my teeth and carry on

    Running Is More fun. And I dont want to spend an hour just walking. I rather run for 20mins

      Walking does not increase your cardiovascular performance while running does strengthen your cardiovascular by a lot

      @@potatoking9945wrong , walk incline 12 -15 at 3.5 or 4.0 speed it definitely will boost your endurance

      C4M3R0N N you need good technique. Buy vibram five fingers and maybe a posture backpack instead of a normal backpack.

    Running will not help on losing weight or burn fat due to lack of oxygen rather consume glucose from the body .. fat consumption needs oxygen with moderate physical activity reason walking is more effective, it is not true that this exercise takes longer than running .. this is the wrong concept from medical standpoint.

      Brisk walking. The problem with running is that most people are overweight and adopt the wrong running technique. This will amplify the shock on your joints, something that can be avoided by brisk walking.

    Walking is no where similar to jogging in term of cardiovascular improvement. Jogging improves your lungs and heart way better. Not comparable at all. It's like comparing sprinting to jogging. Walking for has in common with sitting than jogging
