I would have liked it to have more blue highlights but guess I gotta do it myself This guy literally restocked 3 times on bbts 😂 These guys gotta hire Anthony to sculpt all of these, it's look even better and it'll articulate better
Enjoy the review. Mine is coming soon. You mention the cartoon, is that’s where you & some others only know these characters? I find it odd people spend a lot of money & time collecting & aren’t readers of the comics. That’s how I learned to enjoy & have passion to get figures because of the love of the stories. Do others just like figures & not really knowing the characters? I guess the look sells it but It’s weird to me.
I feel ya on that to a degree. I'm an OG comic fan from the '80s and '90s. I was in my early 20's when Spider-Man classics hit the scene, so I've aged out when it comes to the average aged collector of comic figs. And yeah, a lot of collectors (even ppl my age) don't know jack about the characters they collect. Me personally, if I don't have a connection to something, I tend to not buy it. There's the rare exception, but I'm not remotely rich, so can't afford to get every cool looking thing that comes out.
Well, I was born in 1990 all my Spider-Man reference comes from the 90s animated cartoon because I loved it as a child and I love it now, I’ve read plenty of comics (Spider-Man included) grew up on ultimate Spider-Man, as it was popular at the time, the characters are based off the comics sure but that doesn’t necessarily mean everyone should be attached to where it came from, the attachment to a character can come from anything really, whether it be comic, film, tv, short, fan made, etc. my passion for collecting and “spending time and money” comes from me wanting good action figures though, wether i know the character or not. to answer a question, yes there are plenty of people who buy figures of characters they know nothing about, in most cases it makes people go back and learn about those characters. which I believe can be a good thing, I’ve learned a lot about b, c, and even d list characters because of action figures I’ve gotten.
Great review man, I was wondering if the figure was molded in white plastic?! People be saying it is but idk how true that is and not just some white paint blops.
I have it and it’s definitely molded in black plastic. Mine does have a few white specks where there shouldn’t be, but I’m pretty sure it’s just white paint that rubbed onto the black part.
@@KTLaughter no its molded in white plastic. The white you see is the plastic underneath. If you take apart the bicep and shoulder you can see inside the bicep its white plastic.
@@johnnyboiseeds oddly tho its molded black on the legs. But for some reason they molded the shoulders and bicep white. Which is a really dumb move on mafex. As well as the neck and headsculpts are white plastic.
Oh yeah! AmiAmi or Hobby Link Japan are awesome. That's where I order all my import figures from (prefer AmiAmi though). They're the cheapest, amazing customer service, packed amazingly, and arrive from Japan to your doorstep in the US in 3 days.
So bummed I didn’t scoop this figure up, hoping Mafex does a reissue with this figure.
I sold mine lol kinda want another

@@KitbashCustoms Excellent insight into your history of reading & watching stuff..all giving you the love of collecting 👍🏻
I got the reissue and it came with 2 wall crawlers and no thwippers also it stiff as hell I didn't pose it because I'm scared to chip it
Nothing worse than an expensive fig you can’t/don’t pose

Any great site to order this from?
