I always loved the relationship between Arthur and Sadie. Since they met she became his ride or die for real. Their bond was a strong one
This ending would've been so much more impactful if you guys played it through yourself
Yeah,playing that game for that long you get attached to Arthur so his death it’s more impactful
Arthur was able to kick Micah’s ass even when he had tuberculosis, shot at, ran up a small mountain to save John and still had enough energy to fight Micah and almost win. Imagine if Arthur didn’t have tuberculosis and fought Micah. Micah would be dead.
P.S.
At the scene where Arthur confronts Micah and Dutch at camp, Micah draws his gun but Arthur drawed his gun a lot quicker than Micah.
Micah was manipulating Dutch, and Dutch just went crazy after Hosea's death and also when they crashed the trolly and Dutch said his head hurt, he probably has brain damage from the crash, making him think irrationally. Also Roger Clark who plays Arthur did such an amazing job that he won the best actor in a video game award! Arthur is a LEGEND! ALSO, don't forget to react to the epilogue too
Dutch went crazy long before Hosea. Hosea's death was the last straw. Before the first chapter during the Blackwater robbery, Dutch killed that innocent girl, Heidi McCourt, for no reason.
Man,was listening to this driving to work, and when the first music sequence turned up it got me in the feels.
But like him or hate him,the voice actor of Mica has done a fenomenal job! Never have I hated a character more😅
That said,you guys should react to Red dead Redemption after this one is over.
no hate but i feel like calling him a voice actor is kinda unfair and underwhelming. all the "voice actors" are actually just regular actors and did everything their character did in game. i know its just more natural to call him a voice actor but they all deserve more credit than they already get.
The Pinkertons were in the back of the trees when Arthur came to camp😭
You know when I first played the game I always thought Micah was the rat that if anyone apart of the gang would be a rat it would be Micah I mean just look at him you can tell that he is a slippery snake and a coward anything to save his own skin and he’d do it
they lay that shit on pretty thick. even from the first conversation in the blizzard you can tell hes an antagonizing little shit.
I often joke about the "John? Insist?" line by Dutch - but seriously MAN, that is masterfully written moment in an already masterfully written game. I have not seen such small words convey such heavy implications and emotional turmoil since the likes of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
Also the phrase "they was TALKING" was mentioned two times: when Dutch learned about O'Driscoll gang's plan of robbing Cornwall train (aka the downfall), and when John got rescued that made Dutch super angry
The Implications on a boat in always sunny were pretty scary too
Tasha, Dutch never knew but the reason he keep leaving people is like Arthur or John said Dutch was showing them how he really is
"Mrs Adler... RIDE WITH ME!!!"
That line is more powerful everytime i hear it. This is when Arthur really became a hero and a good man. He had to make a decision and he chose to do what was truly right, everyone else be damned.
Also the last ride of Arthur, when he's hearing all those positive things people have spoke into him, there's way more but they come from doing side missions which this player didn't do.
You know Dutch should have put two and two together when Arthur accused Micah of being the rat because it’s obvious by that point that he’s dying so what would a dying man gain from lying about something like that
He should have done that after the Blackwatter mess. It was obvious that Micah wasn't good at planning stuff, yet Dutch always asks him for advice instead of asking other older and more experienced members of the gang.
Remember John was on the boat in blackwater when he saw Dutch shoot that mother, that’s why the camp dialogue was important, he was calling Dutch out since chapter 2, neither Arthur Hosea Charles were on the boat just Dutch, John l, Micah abs Javier

55:17 I think the most amazing thing this game did was make you feel so immerse that you really are filled with anticipation up until the end trying to figure out each characters fate. You really appreciate the masterful technique when you sit back and realize that John and over half the Van Der Line gang are in the Red Dead 1 which takes place after this game😂. John literally is the character you play as in the first game and here we all were worried if he would make it or not 😂😂😂.
After hundreds of hours of gaming this is by far the saddest moment in gaming history. Always remember the end is always the beginning. I cry every time that music hits
We never met Sister Calderôn, Hamish Sinclair, Taxidermy lady, & a slew of other side missions. This is not the end. There is an epilogue. I cried when my horse died. I was sad when Arthur died, but I didn't cry. I loved that horse.
I believe that Dutch did not stash the ferry boat money in Blackwater. He had it the whole time. That is why he kept disuading everyone from going to Blackwater. That is the key that Abigail gave Arthur to Dutch's chest with the money he had been hoarding. I also Dutch gave up Abigail..
Took me a couple of days after discovering this episode to go back & watch all these episodes in order from 1 to 23. But I have now caught up., liked & commented on each episode

I don't know if there are reliable videos for the first game but it's absolutely worth playing through. Many of the characters from this game are in the original as it's set after this game.

Its hard to watch the end of this game and not get emotional, its such a great story. I've never seen so many people emotional over a games campaign and the music makes it better
After the Epilogue y’all should react to the low honor version of the ride back and the low honer ending for saving John. Same with going back for money

If you guys would've played the game instead you would've cried you're eyes out you get more attached to the character after playing it for a month or more I played it for 2 months before I got to the ending
32:24 so in this riding sequence to the camp... It actually changes a little bit (the "memory dialogues") when you don't do some of the side quests. It makes sense I guess lol

It amazes me that when I was growing up Rockstar was seen as a smut peddler. A company just wanting to make a quick buck by selling violence to the youth and making immorality seem fashionable, only to as an adult see just how deep they actually cut in terms of the satire that is themselves. Rarely do the protagonists in their games make out with a happy ending, and their stories are often entwined in nothing but trouble and woe. If anything these games serve to parody and highlight how absurd such a lifestyle truly is, and that the player is fortunate if they don't have to endure such a life themselves.
First playthrough, amazing. In the second playthrough, you spend all your time lamenting that you can't shoot Micah in the face.
If Arthur had gone to check on John after the train like you said, the timeline changes. He never would have been with the group and ran into Tilly so he wouldn't have known Abigail was captured. So he wouldn't have gone with Sadie to rescue her, if she would have even went alone. So either just Abigail or her and Sadie both would have been locked up and/or dead.
I would highly recommend playing the game yourself, I played with almost no spoilers and it was amazing!
Story would probably make more sense or at least hit harder if all the camp interactions and side missions were included. But that would probably make the runtime double in size.
The dialog on the ride back to camp change if you are dishonorable in the game and you see a wolf instead of the deer......and rdr1 is kinda a give away that john wasn't the he the mc rdr2 is the backstory to 1

Add another 50-100 hours of time you spend playing as Arthur via side quests, exploration, hunting, fishing, etc and his story hits that much harder.
That's something a movie can never truly capture.
It's not as critical but make sure to watch the last part of the game as it leads directly into the story of the first game.
I said the same thing about John if he 4 a year b4 why not leave again especially when he was last on that mountain he sho'nuf could've left then again

I love watching you but this playthrough has been painful at times. Lots of skipped dialogue and cut content. My favourite scene from the game is not in it (look up for brother Dorkin's and sister Calderón's side story if you're curious).
Even still, RDR2 has such a great story it still manages to shine. Even still, If after you're done with the game you guys feel you want more, how about watching the side stories Arthur encounters when not in the main story? I think you'll like them a lot.

I played through the game twice so I know the story but I like watching your videos on its relaxing and your wife she's smart she keeps predicting things and has been pretty spot on
I've been waiting. U know this is the prequel to Red Dead Redemption, right? The first game is the story of John. This game was to show who inspired him to change his life
So the deer I believe represents Arthur’s good qualities he put John and the other less lethal members of the gang first in trying to get them out the life or away from it, whereas if he committed bad deeds it’d be a wolf and Arthur would be in denial about dying so the way until he dies
Micha's true nature was always obvious he was nothing but snake as Arthur said but dutch is the real enemy he abandoned those who were loyal to him for his selfish need

Why can’t I get my Arthur’s hair that long?
Now that you know who the traitor is. If you go back there are subtle things that show how Micah was the traitor. Firstly he was always trying to get Dutch to go back to black water for money when he knew black water was infested with Pinkertons. Micah is also always trying to manipulate things even before Guarma and he realized that the only way to do so was to break the bond of the gang
I like to believe he was just a money hungry P.O.S. before Guarma
But after they came back he just seen through Dutch's non existent paradise and just wanted to get out of a sinking ship (the gang) so he snitched to save his hide
Man i got the urge to play this game all over again
