The small opening on top of the flap is designed so Coco herself could hide the love letters she would receive from men during an event or party ... and the very small compartment in the middle of the two is for her lipstick.

I am not sure if anyone has commented on the little zipper pocket on the flap but I was told it goes back to where Coco (who was apparently quite a flirt and loved the company of men) would store the love letters from the different men in her life. So, it has been keep in production to pay homage to her love for "love". Congrats on the new bag! It was so fun watching its journey to you! I know she'll fit right in with Judith and Barb lols xx

She designed all the pockets on the bag for specific reasons. The one on the back (outside) was for tipping money, the zip pocket on the inside of the flap was for love letters!

I haven't tried Vestiaire. I got two Chanel bags from Fashionphile -- one vintage with the 24K gold hardware -- and the process was fantastic both times. I highly recommend them. Thank you so much for this!! I have been eyeing the Chanel classic flap bag for years, but as the cost of buying one new is now just short of £4,000 I never thought I could justify it, and was unsure of buying second hand due to risks of inauthenticity. But this is a perfect option! And I love the charm that vintage has. I agree with other comments to do a what's in my bag so we can see how much this one fits!
That bag is gorgeous, prettier than the classic flap or boy. It's sleeker and more compact without being too gaudy or bulbous, soo jealous
vestiaire helps reselling what you bought in case you don’t like the item. that’s ok, but still i spot among the itams that are online ready to,be delivered some fakes. especially bottega veneta bags. and: always ask the seller (especially the french ones!) if they are smokers because i twice(!) got a chanelbag stinking of smoke. one i resold. the other one i kept and i put a couple of scent bags in it. love your channel! bless you emma💋🌸

Great video! I started scouring Vestiaire right after I watched it and bought my first vintage 80's Chanel... and then a vintage Hermes. So far, my experience with Vestiaire has been great... totally addicted now. THANK YOU! I did notice that the same handbags were also available for less on Jolis Closet, but I chose to pay a little extra on Vestiaire since I wasn't sure about the Jolis authentication process.

Great handbag! I bought the jumbo Chanel in gold hardware (not pre loved) about 7 years ago and still love it so much. The price has gone up so much since then, so I'm super happy that I bought it then.
That's what I don't like about luxury brands, Chanel being the worst, their price increases are the painful 😩 Love the Chanel Jumbo 🙌🏼
Emma Hill Totally, I payed €3110 for my bag. So I think that's an amazing price and investment, because now I think you would pay around €5000 for it. I don't know if you know this brand Emma; Zadig et Voltaire, but I think they have really nice handbags for a really good price. Worth checking them out, my favorite is the Candide bag, it's one of their classic bags.

Lovely bag Emma......hope you enjoy it. I discovered VC a few years ago, but only recently used it to purchase something. I bought a Balmain blazer, which luckily for me was already with VC, so I received it really quickly and I’ve just purchased a vintage Chanel chain belt and i’m just waiting for that to be delivered. I am now officially obsessed with VC and in and out of it every day x

Lovely and informative video. I love watching unboxings, especially a Chanel bag bought for the first time. I'd been saving and saving for a wallet on a chain and gave up because of the massive price increases. But one day just looking around a nearby village shop, I went into a little vintage shop as they often have black gilets that I'm always on the hunt for....and there was a black lamb skin with gold hardware WOC on the counter and I 'eeeeked' and asked if it was for sale a and how much it was...and I bought it. It was a lovely experience and some ladies were in the shop and shared my excitement and I absolutely love my bag, it's perfect for nights out and posh lunches. Enjoy yours and think about all the amazing adventures yours went through before.

Congratulations! It's incredible, how much these bags have increased in price, I bought the largest classic Chanel from Heathrow in 2003 and it cost eight hundred pounds..... time to sell I think!

Huda Ahmed I just love Vestiaire and it’s a site I’ve bought soooo many of my bags from so I wanted to share the love and put peoples mind at ease who were dubious about using it. Also you can often pick up brand new bags which will save you a fortune in comparison to brand new. My Givenchy Antigona for example was £1800 in the shops at the time I bought it and I got it on Vestiaire for just £816 brand new with all the protective coverings on it 🙌🏼

I literally went on the Vestiare website for the first time tonight, and came on to You Tube to find some reviews as I was a bit suspicious of the whole thing, and your video came up and it is literally two years to the day since your bag arrived, weird!!! Excellent choice , I personally prefer vintage chanel pieces, the quality of the leather and the hardware specifically tend to be a higher quality.

Supposedly that back zipper pocket goes the full length of the bag and where Coco would put love letters.
I also bought a vintage Chanel from the same seller last year! I believe that zip pocket was used for Coco's love letters :)

Amazing!! Under the top flap, Chanel bags have a weird little zipper compartment ; as the story goes, Coco hid it there to have a secret spot to stash her love letters❤ kisses from Italy 😘

I’ve had an awful experience with VC. Please always check other places like Trust Pilot and Purse Forum for more insight. It’s important to always see both sides of a business. Emma and other’s have been lucky as lot of others have not be so.

Returns wise I've returned to professional sellers before and very quick. But I had a recent return and I've been waiting weeks to get it resolved. The buyer wrongly described something which was important to the item (it's a outlet item with a hole through the serial tag!Dior) and this is something that should be mentioned but I've been waiting now weeks for a response from their specialist team. So I prefer to buy from professional sellers for this very reason! As for selling via Vestiaire which I have sold many items I find them brilliant!! Huge fan of this site in general I just wish they would sort my refund out for the latest item 😣x

I had an amazing experience with buying from Vestiaire. It was purchased from Vestiaire directly, so it was already authenticated and I received it in 2 days! Absolutely amazing website.
