@@upgames1313 to an extent. Matsuri is too honest for her own good. She broke down and started crying over how much she cares about Luna to the point where it is plain as day she's in love with her. Even when talking about her and her "love" for everyone else: "I love Fubuki, and I love Hoshikawa...but Luna...I love Luna in a different way...I want to hear her voice now..."
Luna herself is a hard read though. She could just be playing along with Matsuri or could very well reciprocate, just not at the same level of intensity.

How quickly and easily Matsuri manages to twist the sword in the opposite direction. Luna can never keep up the offensive for long. I'm slowly learning that while Matsuri has 0 defense, she does have at least some points in evasion.

tbh she often says this to new member, and this professionalism + kindness alone win my respect. In the end, she's a caring senpai for her kouhai.
And her advice and support really paid off already. Luna has been collabing with people almost non-stop for weeks now. She went on Tamaki's channel after Matsuri recommended it to her, she collabed with Marine and Subaru who she is now close to. She joined several bigger group collabs and really found her footing with her character. It seems she even invited Rushia to collab with her all on her own. That's some growth!

Yah, many people dislike her at first, but she has arguably the best clips and moments, which makes people eventually like her.

What really got to me was when she talked about her wish for Luna to collab with many people. It was Matsuri who helped Luna become this sociable and she is still watching over her even now. I am almost certain that when she heard that Luna barely chats with other people than her she got worried again. But she doesn't have to worry... Luna is having many collabs with all kinds of people these days and she has found her own voice on her channel. The fact that she is still so clingy with Matsuri isn't because she needs her support anymore, but because she really appreciates her that much.
It struck me a little odd as Luna was ranked rather highly on the sociability chart discussed by some members during the Holocomi event. She's probably more reserved due to her past.
Then again, the chart is probably not a good indicator on this as some of the so-called introverts actively do more collabs than even Choco sensei, who is regarded as the biggest extrovert. Still, it's great to see that there's more interactions happening between members, "shy"er ones included, as well as with those outside the group.

@@MarsDCKC My theory based off of my own experience of being introverted it that when you actually manage to become friends with someone and actually have fun with them, you always want to be around them and talking to them, and since hololive inherently incentivizes its members to interact since they're a smaller group (at least compared to nijisanji) that the introverts really enjoy having that company while extroverts don't really crave that constant friendship since they're pretty natural in doing so maybe

could be a case of Luna being a fan of her, Matsuri has been at it since 2018.
The flirting is played up, but they are really good friends offline as well. I think it helped that Matsuri reached out to Luna when she just joined Hololive and consistently collabed with her for quite a bit.

There is no such thing. They don't get "assigned" to anything or anyone. Matsuri is just like this, she always helps out her kouhai. She also did this for Haato of the same generation. It's in her nature to help out those who have trouble collabing. They ended up becoming good friends because of this, so that's why they still hang out a lot.
