Wow, excellent lesson, thanks Ivan. Everything slow, deliberate and all small tricks & techniques shown and brought to life. If I am allowed a suggestion, try showing us "Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick" by Ian Dury and the Blockheads. Very interesting both from a pure technique but also from a harmony aspect. That piece is kind of a "look up to" thing for bassists - Norman Watt-Roy joked once that he put so many notes in that bass line because he thought he would be paid by the note.
Good stuff! You never have annoying noise/squeak when shifting position. Do I need to have less pressure when sliding/shifting, or is it a matter of EQ/string-selection?

I use this riff to practice hybrid picking :)

Oh haha, I thought this was gonna be a video on "what is hip" in terms of bass playing styles
