    Giants fan here. To start off I love the mock draft, I may not agree with every pick but that’s what mock drafts are for! You gave insights, reasonings on every pick and you can’t argue that. Now to the Jon Runyan signing, I agree it was a slight overpay but I completely understand Schoen’s mindset. He’s a serviceable starter who has never missed a start because of injury. Runyan also has the upside to play both guard positions.

    • @carsonhenry169
      @carsonhenry169 Месяц назад

      I believe Schoen's mindset is having reliable, consistent bodies than upside or injury prone guys. Just look at how he attacked the WR/IDL room last off-season after all the injuries/lack of bodies year prior. That's how I took it from my perspective.

    • @teej11
      @teej11  Месяц назад

      Thank you for the kind words first and foremost! As for Runyon I think you make a good point about him being serviceable and nowadays and solid start goes for 8-12 million a year typically. And the NFL as a whole has a 0-line depth issue so getting a solid starter is nothing to be upset about cause there is waaaay worse out there!

    Hi ! French NFL fan and Cardinals fan here :)
    MHJ at 4 and Newton at 27, these choices are perfection. Really hope we don't trade down from 4, I'll never be reassured until I see Roger Goodell calling Marvin's name for us. CB is a primary need too so I'm ok with KAM (I'm personnally a little bit higher on Rakestraw but that's just personnal assessment).
    Not a fan of your third round for us, though : depending on the board, I'll be comfortable taking a tackle, I like Fisher but... With all the needs we have, I'm not sure. Jonah Williams was promessed to be our RT when we signed him and Paris Johnson should move LT. I think there are more needs in the inside of the OL (I'm in love with Van Pran, would love to see him become a Card, but a guard should be an option too). Not the biggest fan of Colson and personnally prefer Jeremiah Trotter Jr.. And 90... Come on man :') We have Conner and Michael Carter, so, not taking an EDGE and taking a RB in this class ? I don't see it and don't hope for it. Maybe we'll take some RB in 6th round or 7th, to face the injuries, but I really don't see it this early. I think and hope, too, that we should use some of these picks we have (three 3rds, one 4th, two 5ths), to trade up somewhere and give us a second 2nd round pick.

    This trade down, trade back up is mickey mouse stuff. Seems like you're just fooling around to make sure you can force Nabers to the Chargers because in the normal pecking order of 4-5-6 he could very easily wind up with the NYG as opposed to Odunze going to the Chargers. I think it's definitely possible for Harbaugh to want the tough, hard working kid who competed at the combine when the other two didn't and stayed after to continue working on agility drills. Also Harbaugh prepared for and then saw Odunze, up close and personal in the national title game.
    Your logic justifying Bowers as the third best receiver means he'll be lucky to see 80 targets and no, at 243 lbs he's not going to be able to hold up as an inliner when it comes to blocking. The Jets will have to play more 12 personnel to keep him on the field in most of those situations. And to suggest this will all be to Aaron Rodgers liking, think again. Not only did Rodgers practically never look in the direction of a tight end in his years as a Packer, he is very, very grumpy around rookie receivers and the mistakes they make.

    • @teej11
      @teej11  2 месяца назад

      I think my moves for LAC are similar to what the Cardinals did last year, and the Dolphins in 2021. I also would LOVE Odunze in LAC.
      As for Bowers, I think we see it differently and that's fine! I think he's one of the strongest, pound-for-pound players in this class. And I was arguing more that he could be their second target, even with Mike Williams there! And as for Rodgers, he's never had a TE like Bowers.
      Do you think 0-line if still the move at 10? I kinda love the idea of Fautanu there if I'm honest then WR or TE like Theo Johnson at 72 could work!

    • @daverice7855
      @daverice7855 2 месяца назад

      @@teej11 Yeah I think Fautanu would be a great addition to the Jets here although it's unfortunate that they don't have a second round pick (traded to Packers obviously for Rodgers). I wonder if your trade back formula might be in play with this pick, Could the Jets secure their o-lineman via a trade back
      of the 10th pick and at the same time secure a second rounder that they could use to bolster their receiving corps (WR, TE)? I think probably this option would only be available if there were still a QB in play with the 10th pick.

      Bowers, at 245lbs. can still be a decent blocker, and it's a mediocre TE class, so he should go between 9-15.

    fine with the trade and would much rather have Latu over Turner at 11. Also if the Falcons pull this trade off for Reddick being reported lately. Im 100% taking Nabers in that spot at 8 and not thinking twice about it.
    As for round 2 really should have went Sweat for NT there as we don't currently have one on the roster and need one severely to run the 3-4 we switched to. Grady and Onyemata are our 3-4 edge players but we have no middle man. Rams defense has used bigger NT's in gaines and Brown the last few years. Sweat fits that perfectly and makes our front 7 nasty. Their are no really solid NT's later where as CB is solid in round 3 and 4.
    When all was said and done with the traded added in and no reddick trade yet Here is how the Falcons should have drafted imo.
    11. Latu - edge best edge rusher in the draft already and in the 95th to 99th percentile will pads on turner in thr 65th percent. He gets worse with pads where as Latu improves. Plus supposedly a few insiders said Latu is our edge 1 in the 3-4 and 4-3. Where as Turner and Verse swap #2 and #3 deepnding on if we were 3-4 or 4-3 latu stayed #1 in both. These same insider jben and jeff have nailed like 90% of our offseason moves before we even made them so far lol. Someone might be getting fired for all this leakage XD
    2nd - T'vondre Sweat - As stated above we have no legit 3-4 and badly need one even more than CB. We atleast have good CB's 1, 2, 3, and 4. Dee Alford is a awesome CB that no one mentions but has been a 70+ pff CB the last few years. Clark Phillips and mike hughes are good 3 and 4 guys. We can use 1 more but it can be had round 3 or 4 where value is better.
    3a - Kamari Lassiter - Here is where you take CB for amazing value and imo a better CB than Jackson honestly.
    3b - Javon Baker or Johnny Wilson - Either WR is fine neither are my favorite guys but most of the guys i liked are gone already at WR. They are solid dudes and good value here though so it's cool.

    Why on earth would the Chargers end up losing 2 3rd picks just for a 1st?
    1. QB tax is a real thing so whomever trades up is getting nothing but No. 5
    2. The Chargers have been saying all along since Harbaugh and Hortiz arrived that they want as many picks as possible.

    Sleeping on TJ Tampa. Hope Buffalo gets him in the 1st round. we already picked up a WR from Washington. Get a WR in the second round, there’s plenty with abilities that people sleep on cause they’re too focused on the 1st round projections. Tampa is going to be something special and a 1 on 1 threat especially in the red zone.

    I'm not sure how you honestly think the Falcons doing a favor for Chargers makes any sense for the Falcons. Draft chart value doesn't add up, plus a 4th and a future 3rd to move up for a player of Nabers caliber is just nuts. If they want him, pay at the very least fair value for him. The Falcons gifting him to the Chargers for less value than the 8th pick is worth is simply not realistic. Can't use the logic of "you'll get the same player" to justify the Falcons taking a chance at not getting the player they want. In a real scenario, there would be no guarantee they would. A 4th and future 3rd simply isn't enough to justify thay risk
