We spent our week making music, relaxing, and exploring the Mark Twain National Forest. We found lots of great free camping and had an awesome time making wonderful memories!

It's nice to see a video about camping in Missouri without any complaints regarding mosquitos or humidity.
😂😂 honestly Alabama is far more humid and the UP of Michigan has the worst mosquitoes….
I can’t think of anything bad to say about Missouri, honestly. We love it there.
I was going to say hope they survive the humidity and bugs!
You both are sounding great on your instruments!👍😎🎸🪕🎶🎶🎶
Thank you! I try to at least touch all of them every day.
@LoveHut4Life you're welcome. I can tell you both have been practicing. That's the key. Pick it up every day and it'll get easier. I've been trying to do that the last few years and it's helped me a lot. I recently got up courage to make a few videos, too. I'm still learning though. Keep at it and have fun!👍😎🎶🎶🎶
So pretty!
Right?!?!
🤣Poor Dixie tortured by the water 🤣I’ll be visiting my friend in Fredricktown MO in September her property is next to Mark Twain NF I’ll probably check it out big hugs y’all 🥰🤗❤️👍
You should totally check out the Mark Twain. This part is beautiful, but the southern part of it is absolutely magical.
We did a video on it a couple of years ago with Z and Mary. The natural springs down there are crazy beautiful!
Kelsey, I once made a flute as part of a class project in 6th grade. We used bamboo. The teacher was an old farm lady and did that project with her class every year. We each got to pick if we wanted to make a bass, tenor, etc. She showed us exactly how and where to drill the holes and how to shape the corks for the mouthpiece. They turned out, and sounded, just beautiful. Then we learned songs and played them in the Christmas concert. It was quite a memorable experience. Then my sister spitefully broke mine, and my heart with it. Friends gave me a new, cherry wood, German made one but the fingering is rather complicated and I have never mastered it. Our bamboo flutes were basic, simple to play and sounded more natural. Anyway, just thought I'd share that about the bamboo. I really do appreciate both you guy's musical abilities. I've taught myself to play the guitar but you're a ways ahead of me. I just play for myself in my living room. Basic cords. No F cord as yet. I look for songs that don't have it.😁
Take care and happy trails ya'll!! 🥰🌿
That’s awesome! What a cool memory:)
We still haven’t made one yet, but we’ll get around to it.
You know I am coming up with a 1000 ways to make it artistic and still sound good, and it has to be the perfect stick!
F chords are hard for everyone lol. Try some of the variations of F as replacements until your fingers get stronger. It works fine for most songs.

Thanks so much for the encouragement!! Just found a doable F variation. Maybe not the whole "full" sound but acceptable for now. Opens up a whole lot more songs!! So appreciate your inspiration!! HUGS!! 🥰
So fun to see Shane able to giggle at the barges and also for y’all to have some time off. Well deserved
Yeah it’s been nice reconnecting with nature and having a little time for us.
It’s been good to remind ourselves why we live this way:) much needed!
Yup and make sure y’all don’t stay at any Missouri Department Conservation Area More then 15 day in one calendar year!!! It’s a rule and y’all can be ticked!! Back too the good stuff love y’all’s videos!
We aren’t really big on staying anywhere for more than 14 days out of the year, unless someone is paying us to.
Thank you for your great videos. I appreciate full time living from a perspective I will never see.
I’m glad you enjoy them! Thank you for your support:)
Nice flute playing! I love the Native American flute.
Thanks Ken!!! I will continue to get better at this one. I’ve started keeping it in the truck so I have something to play when Shane goes in stores😂😂
Perfect timing, i'm headed there next week! Sweet about the conservation areas, cuz I'm all about hiking.
Hope you have a blast! Such a beautiful state, and the people are truly wonderful
