After preaching at a local college a Catholic student was confronting me and I said "Ehh so you thing your a good Catholic?" He Said "Yes" I brought Him through the law, preached the importance of Biblical repentance and he was humbled at God's law and open to the Gospel.
If they're truly saved and love the truth, when presented with their church's actual doctrine and how it explicitly contradicts the Bible, they should no longer be Catholic.

There's a pretty good case for the Judeo-Christian worldview. But science (pure science) does not work its own signs; it leaves that job up to its partner, technology (or applied science). So the two beasts of Rev 13 symbolize Science and Technology at large. Why couldn't Jesus have healed 1 blind men as he entered Jericho and two as he left; with each author reporting what they saw from their point of view. Jesus is reported to have healed everyone that touched him in some towns. The apostles are reported to have healed everyone on whom their shadow fell. Even if there is a legitimate difference, as with any testimony in court, it is just evidence that nobody pre-cooked the story.
Hello, I have a family relative who constantly tells me that i will go to hell if I don't honor the sabbath because its known as the forgotten commandment. I want to know if this is true, but every time I try to have a calm, intellectual conversation with the person, this person becomes angry at the things that I say from my view point. I want a third persons opinion, could you please tell me your thoughts on this subject. Thank you.
The simple answer is no. You must understand that the Sabbath day was a reference/prophecy of Jesus who would come. He is our Sabbath/rest. If we are in Him we find rest from the laws. We need to still try our best to obey them, repent and turn from sin because we love God and want to obey Him. Jesus fulfilled all the laws. If we bind ourselves to the laws we are damned to hell because we cannot obey them all. Not even close. The Bible says if we break one law you break them all and there's over 600 laws. We put our faith and trust in the One who is perfect and The Father accepts us because we come in the name of Jesus who is perfect. So it is ok to do things on a Sabbath but it's still good to reflect on all the things God did as well. Most people who insist on obeying the Sabbath are falsely naming Saturdays as Sabbath's which is biblically incorrect anyways. Sabbaths are according to the moon, not a pagan named day of the week. So whoever is telling you that is wrong in more ways than one. I hope that makes sense. I tried to make it as simple to understand as possible.

There was no moon or sun until "day 4" so it can't be days like we think plus in chapter 2...I forget what verse but it's maybe 1,2 or 3 it says" in the day" God created heaven and Earth so really he created everything in one day which scripture tells us one day is like a 1000 years to God. People and pastors are going to zoom over that and the fact that the moon which tells us time on Earth wasn't created yet therefore it couldn't be 24 hour day and nights. Evening and morning is prophecy of the condition of the world. Evening is darkness/evil/night and morning is day/Truth/righteousness/light. Evening is first. Everyone is in darkness/the evening until they come to Christ and then we are in the Day/light.

Can you help me reconcile John and Matthew's resurrection accounts? I'm trying to figure out if Jesus appearance to Mary in Matthew 28:9-10 took place before or after his appearance to her in John 20:11-17. It seems like Matthew 28:9-10 would have to take place after John 20:11-17 since Mary still thinks Jesus' body had been taken in John 20:11. However, if Matt 28:9-10 takes place after John 20:11-17, why is it that everything about Jesus and Mary's interaction in Matthew 9&10 suggests that it was their first time seeing each other since his crucifixion? Not only does Mathew contain no mention of Mary seeing Jesus prior to verses 9&10, verse 9 says “and behold,” as if Mary hadn’t just seen Jesus just a little while earlier. Then there's the fact that Jesus says “don’t be afraid” as if his presence would come as some surprise to these two women who would have already known that he had been resurrected if John 20:11-17 had taken place prior. And then there's the fact that they dramatically worship him at his feet like it was their first time seeing him in a long time. Also, Mary would have just previously been told by Jesus not to cling to him (John 20:17), so why would she take hold of his feet (Matt 28:9) just a little while after that? Also, if Mary departed from Jesus at the tomb in John 2:18, how and why would he appear to her again on her way back from the tomb? Did he dematerialize and rematerialise on front of her, or did he take some shortcut in order to cut her off on the path? What a bizarre thing to do, and what would be the point? He already told her at the tomb to tell the disciples what happened, so why does he need to tell her again? Can you make sense of this?

Hi that was due to the lack of faith in God, if they had put their full trust in him rather than military equipment they would have succeeded. In previous books of the Bible we see that the people of God were able to defeat chariots when they had their complete trust in him

In the beginning ofvthe Bible in the book of Genesis 1, 3 we read tgat god created the light on the first say of creation. Later in Genesis 1, 14 we read that god created the sun and other shining matters on the fourth day. It cannot be! There is no any light withiut sun in solar system ascours. And so we can find nany contradictions and errors throughout the Bible.
I studied the Bible a little bit with the Christadelphians and as far as they, and I understand, the light in Genesis 1:3 - And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.- shines from God - he is the light here. Not the sun, moon etc. God sent his son Jesus to be the light of the world - John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. So this is a Spiritual light, not a physical light.
The beginning of Genesis is referring to the condition of the world not physical light and darkness. Darkness is referencing evil, sin and light equals truth, righteousness. You really need to seek God and you will receive the understanding. There was already evil because things had already happened. He doesn't give us every detail but before He created the earth to have ground separated by water there had already been an age of beings living in the water. We are not the first beings God has ever created. Nor are we the first on the Earth which is y God told Adam to replenish the Earth. Just keep reading and it'll come together with God's help.

At 5:14 we hear the intellectual contortionism needed to harmonize the four gospels. Honest readers should acknowledge that these Jesus accounts are compelling allegories, but they cannot be reconciled with each other. Did Jesus heal one blind man or two? Did he heal him/them on the way in or out of Jericho? Did he send out the money changers at the start of his ministry or the end? Did he enter Jerusalem riding a donkey, a foal, or both a donkey and a foal? Was he crucified on the day before passover or the day after passover? Did he carry his crucifix all the way to golgotha or did someone help him? Was he mocked by the two thieves or was he praised by one of them? What were his last words? Who went to his tomb? Did the women find a man, two men, or two angels at the tomb? Where did they go after they saw this? Did they tell anyone or not? You will find different answers to these questions in different gospels. It is time to admit that biblical literalism is a dishonest position. Ray Comfort is a dishonest man; he either deceives himself or his followers. The gospels are the products of multiple generations of oral tradition. They contradict each other because the stories changed over time.

When it comes to the philosophical and logical concerns -- hearing arguments & evidences that might spur me to lay down my arms -- that's where Greg Koukl comes in.
There's a pretty good case for the Judeo-Christian worldview. I think it's important to give everyone a fair hearing and let them make a case -- and the folks at STR are the best, most reasonable people I know of to go to regarding Christianity. Gifted thinkers and speakers, for sure (even if they're wrong).

Why couldn't Jesus have healed 1 blind men as he entered Jericho and two as he left; with each author reporting what they saw from their point of view.
Jesus is reported to have healed everyone that touched him in some towns. The apostles are reported to have healed everyone on whom their shadow fell.
Even if there is a legitimate difference, as with any testimony in court, it is just evidence that nobody pre-cooked the story.

Hello, I have a family relative who constantly tells me that i will go to hell if I don't honor the sabbath because its known as the forgotten commandment. I want to know if this is true, but every time I try to have a calm, intellectual conversation with the person, this person becomes angry at the things that I say from my view point. I want a third persons opinion, could you please tell me your thoughts on this subject. Thank you.
The simple answer is no. You must understand that the Sabbath day was a reference/prophecy of Jesus who would come. He is our Sabbath/rest. If we are in Him we find rest from the laws. We need to still try our best to obey them, repent and turn from sin because we love God and want to obey Him. Jesus fulfilled all the laws. If we bind ourselves to the laws we are damned to hell because we cannot obey them all. Not even close. The Bible says if we break one law you break them all and there's over 600 laws. We put our faith and trust in the One who is perfect and The Father accepts us because we come in the name of Jesus who is perfect. So it is ok to do things on a Sabbath but it's still good to reflect on all the things God did as well. Most people who insist on obeying the Sabbath are falsely naming Saturdays as Sabbath's which is biblically incorrect anyways. Sabbaths are according to the moon, not a pagan named day of the week. So whoever is telling you that is wrong in more ways than one. I hope that makes sense. I tried to make it as simple to understand as possible.

There was no moon or sun until "day 4" so it can't be days like we think plus in chapter 2...I forget what verse but it's maybe 1,2 or 3 it says" in the day" God created heaven and Earth so really he created everything in one day which scripture tells us one day is like a 1000 years to God. People and pastors are going to zoom over that and the fact that the moon which tells us time on Earth wasn't created yet therefore it couldn't be 24 hour day and nights. Evening and morning is prophecy of the condition of the world. Evening is darkness/evil/night and morning is day/Truth/righteousness/light. Evening is first. Everyone is in darkness/the evening until they come to Christ and then we are in the Day/light.

Can you help me reconcile John and Matthew's resurrection accounts? I'm trying to figure out if Jesus appearance to Mary in Matthew 28:9-10 took place before or after his appearance to her in John 20:11-17. It seems like Matthew 28:9-10 would have to take place after John 20:11-17 since Mary still thinks Jesus' body had been taken in John 20:11. However, if Matt 28:9-10 takes place after John 20:11-17, why is it that everything about Jesus and Mary's interaction in Matthew 9&10 suggests that it was their first time seeing each other since his crucifixion? Not only does Mathew contain no mention of Mary seeing Jesus prior to verses 9&10, verse 9 says “and behold,” as if Mary hadn’t just seen Jesus just a little while earlier. Then there's the fact that Jesus says “don’t be afraid” as if his presence would come as some surprise to these two women who would have already known that he had been resurrected if John 20:11-17 had taken place prior. And then there's the fact that they dramatically worship him at his feet like it was their first time seeing him in a long time. Also, Mary would have just previously been told by Jesus not to cling to him (John 20:17), so why would she take hold of his feet (Matt 28:9) just a little while after that? Also, if Mary departed from Jesus at the tomb in John 2:18, how and why would he appear to her again on her way back from the tomb? Did he dematerialize and rematerialise on front of her, or did he take some shortcut in order to cut her off on the path? What a bizarre thing to do, and what would be the point? He already told her at the tomb to tell the disciples what happened, so why does he need to tell her again? Can you make sense of this?
There are no confirmed "errors" or "mistakes" in the Bible: The version that mankind has today is exactly as God originally intended for us to read it.

Hi that was due to the lack of faith in God, if they had put their full trust in him rather than military equipment they would have succeeded. In previous books of the Bible we see that the people of God were able to defeat chariots when they had their complete trust in him

Later in Genesis 1, 14 we read that god created the sun and other shining matters on the fourth day. It cannot be! There is no any light withiut sun in solar system ascours. I studied the Bible a little bit with the Christadelphians and as far as they, and I understand, the light in Genesis 1:3 - And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.- shines from God - he is the light here. Not the sun, moon etc.

So this is a Spiritual light, not a physical light.

The beginning of Genesis is referring to the condition of the world not physical light and darkness. Darkness is referencing evil, sin and light equals truth, righteousness. You really need to seek God and you will receive the understanding. There was already evil because things had already happened. He doesn't give us every detail but before He created the earth to have ground separated by water there had already been an age of beings living in the water. We are not the first beings God has ever created. Nor are we the first on the Earth which is y God told Adam to replenish the Earth. Just keep reading and it'll come together with God's help.

At 5:14 we hear the intellectual contortionism needed to harmonize the four gospels. Honest readers should acknowledge that these Jesus accounts are compelling allegories, but they cannot be reconciled with each other.
Did Jesus heal one blind man or two? Did he heal him/them on the way in or out of Jericho? Did he send out the money changers at the start of his ministry or the end? Did he enter Jerusalem riding a donkey, a foal, or both a donkey and a foal? Was he crucified on the day before passover or the day after passover? Did he carry his crucifix all the way to golgotha or did someone help him? Was he mocked by the two thieves or was he praised by one of them? What were his last words? Who went to his tomb? Did the women find a man, two men, or two angels at the tomb? Where did they go after they saw this? Did they tell anyone or not?
You will find different answers to these questions in different gospels. It is time to admit that biblical literalism is a dishonest position. Ray Comfort is a dishonest man; he either deceives himself or his followers. The gospels are the products of multiple generations of oral tradition. They contradict each other because the stories changed over time.

@@renitv When Jesus instructed his disciples to go and proclaim the kingdom of god, did he tell them to bring a staff as in Luke 9:3, or to bring no staff as in Mark 6:8? Those verses can't both be correct. Call it a trivial error if you want, but a trivial error is still and error.
