Nope, the only difference between brown sugar and white sugar is molasses. You put molasses in white sugar to make brown sugar. It's why it's more sticky and has a different taste. Light brown sugar has less molasses, and dark brown sugar has more

For those complaining about cookies coming out pancake like. Make sure you're actually using butter NOT butter spread. If you're following the instructions accordingly then you shouldn't have having any issues whatsoever, I've made these chocolate chip cookies and they come out great.

Like they wouldn’t flatten in the oven like cookies? That happened to me for putting hot melted butter into the dough. Just cool your melted butter and it’ll turn out great. 😊🍪
