My husband and I decided to file separately and he claims the kids. But it rejected mines and not his. It says he filed joint and I think the app defaulted. We checked and it did. But here's my issue. If I got rejected can we amend his and add my w2 to his?

No, it will not be rejected. You'll have to amend your return, but you should wait until this return has processed.
