Lovely card Christine, the deep border really sets this piece of art off….I had a feeling that a bit of glitter would creep in before the end….Your never far away from gilding wax, luscious powders or in this case glitter gloss (a girl after my own heart, always tempted to add a little sparkle) Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring me to attempt mixed media cards. 🦋xxx
oh mixed media again, so amazing, something im only just getting into, after being inspired by you, ive always shyed away from it before, but the little l have done gas been great fun. Well im off to bed after 4hrs motorway driving, im shattered. But thankyou for the relaxing videos. 😊
What a beautiful card Chrissie. I really did smile at the end as I was just thinking that I personally would add a bit of twinkle pen to the big butterfly and you did exactly the same! Great minds!😄 x
I live in Christchurch, New Zealand. I really enjoy catching up with your creative card making inspiration whilst listening to your lovely accent. (I'm originally from the UK) I was so inspired by your video using the Creative Stamping magazine gift that I called the bookshop and ordered the issue. NZ is running about 4 or 5 months behind with these UK magazines and so I will be receiving it around September. I know I could contact the magazine supplier direct but actually it will be a lovely early Christmas present for me. It will be worth the wait. Thank you Christine for your great ideas and of course your delightful videos with your granddaughter
I have lovely memories of Christchurch, I was there before the 'quake and attended a service in the cathedral, I can stiill recall the wonderful sound of Allegri's Miserere being sung. The barista in the coffee shop made a beautiful fern in the froth of my coffee too. 😊We also had an hilarious tram ride around the city with our group of holidaymakers. Wonderful times. You'll love Lou's products with that magazine, if you're anything like me, you will have forgotten you've ordered it by September, and it will come as a wonderful surprise!🤣 Thanks for your support!❤️
@@Chrissieannie So good to hear you have lovely memories of Christchurch. It is still a beautiful city even though still bearing the scars. It continues to make the most delicious coffees. Happy card making.
Pink and gray are a favorite color combination of mine. You’re becoming a mixed media queen as well as a CAS gummiapan queen. My day starts out well when I am blessed with a visit from you. Many thanks
Now I am on the search for issue #133, Creative Stamping. I also love the magazine. Each issue starts my mind going in another direction. Thanks Chrissie, this card is gorgeous.
Oh my, you are quickly becoming a favorite for me! I subscribed quite a while back but have been “binging” on your videos lately. No idea why I hadn’t done that before…I love this card, I hope I’ll be able to find that magazine here in the US (I have an idea of a couple of places to look). At the beginning of the video I was thinking “I think I need to tell her to try bubble wrap for her ink smushing” and then you picked some up! I’ve seen it used by others and it gives a very organic look. Then when you brought out your embossing paste and added to it it reminded me of the sourdough bread starter that was so popular a couple of years back! You have embossing paste starter and you just have to add a little more ingredients here and there to keep it going! I just love your videos, your voice, your style of card making, just everything! I’ve developed quite a crush😆! Thanks so very much💕
This comment is wonderful to read. I'm delighted that you enjoy my videos... There are quite a lot to go at now🤣. I hope you'll continue to enjoy many more. I have used many things for smooshing ink and paint, often it's just something close at hand that I can grab. This time it was the bubble wrap.! Long may you continue to binge! Thanks so much❤️
Beautiful Mixed Media card Christine, I love pink and grey together too! I looked into getting that magazine with Lou's stamps and stencils, but with shipping it is a Very expensive stamp set. So I will just enjoy you using it. Years ago I was part of a swap that exchanged a sheet of tissue paper that we stamped all over, folded and mailed to another crafty friend. We all ended up with lots of images that we didn't have a stamp of, great fun. I hope you have a wonderful day!!
OMGolly !! I’d l o v e even THAT kind of interaction with fellow crafters, as I have only the Y.T. to help spark my crafty spirit !! So sorry for you that you no longer have those connections ☹️. Be well …
Those stamps are wonderful Chrissie and love the way you have used them on the tissue paper and with that beautiful pink and grey smooshed background with the extra stamping onto it, and the hand cut butterfly, with the pretty added sparkle, and sentiment plate just left white do stand out really well...a brilliant mixed media piece..love the added frame too. x
I think you're really getting the hang of mixed media. Gorgeous as always. I love all of it. I think Kay is quite a good teacher. I purchased a video of the Gothic Shelf instructions and it's fab. Great instruction and lots of useful information along the way. There was a great twofer deal a while back and I'm so glad I decided to make the purchase as there were a lot of things I would have assumed and you know what that leads to. Of course, I ended up adding a few IndigoBlu items to my stash in the process. Nothing but fun.
@@Chrissieannie Yes, you enabled me and I love it, too. I'd looked at the project a few times prior to your retreat but after you gushed so much about the class and showed the results, it became irresistible.
Chris you are absolutely the best. I love your videos- always something new happening. It keeps me interested. Love your style. Boy do I wish I have that set of stamps and stencils. Thanxs so much for all your videos. Always happy to see one pop up, Have a great weekend.

Hi Chris, I love the media theme today ,I received my magazine in the post yesterday,it's lovely, the pink and grey colours are very subtle, thanks for wonderful demo 😁
I have this set and it’s fabulous. I love what you have done with it. Very stylish. Those butterflies are gorgeous and they are as good for background images as they are for the main embellishments. Thank you for another amazing video. - Dawn 🌅
@msunshine137 I had just finished two large sheets of white card stock with mixed media very similar to what you are doing in this video. I think I'll try the stamped napkin next. Thanks for your superb courage and just plowing on!😊🖖
It is always fun watching you have a play Chrissie! I love this color combo, so pretty. I also love typography but never knew what to do with it. Now we do! Such a fab card, love how the tissue paper disappears but yet still gives some texture. Indeed, this is my type of mixed media. Mix media always scared me too, but not quite as much since watching you. Hugs, Brenda
You are going to convert me yet. I am not sure about the mixed media but who knows what I will try in the future. Love the finished results. Thank you for sharing.
Fabulous. Amazing watching what you come up with. I assume the tissue paper technique would work with beautiful serviettes? You may well have addressed this, but I have missed a few days on grandchildren duty😊

How lovely is that.. I wish I hadn’t thrown my backing away yesterday!! Please can you advise me how to fussy cut a wriggly edge, your butterfly was wonderful especially as it has a border. My fussy cutting leaves a lot to be desired 🙄 thank you
I did a tutorial once about cutting it. For years I taught little ones how to cut out and the secret is to keep the scissors in the same direction and to move the paper or card you are cutting out. You don't snip, but simply open then I#bsqueeze the scissors a little. Maybe I'll do another tutorial on it! 😉
