Hi Angela, Would this work for a tween or young teen girl at knee length instead of tea length?
Also my one granddaughter’s waist is 31 inches and waist to mid knee is 18.25. Would a circle skirt be a good style for her? If not, do you have any other suggestions?

Do you have any tips on how to measure knit fabrics? I find the stretch makes my measurements inaccurate. If I measure twice or more to double check the measurement comes out different.

Hi Debbie, the circle is in the middle of a 60" wide piece of fabric. Picture a large circle taking up the entire width of the fabric and add a small circle in the center of the large circle.
Angela , I have all your classes on Craftsy & I just received your book today from amazon. I have a Q. & I don’t know anyone to ask. I Finally just figured out my serger. Well, kinda . Anyhow I don’t know WHAT IS WRONG with my needle . All of a sudden it is breaking . Idk what it is hitting & I’m hearing some sound not it’s not consistent but this is new and I never had a problem. with my needle breaking! Do u have any suggestions? I have the semi new serger think been out 7 years now. ( well was new when bought but never used couldn’t figure out ) I seen the machine n one of the serger classes not sure if ur class.
Ok one more cuz this happened ALL same day & of course when I have projects . I have the brother 2400 I think it is . The Embroidery - sewing machine. Well, now the bobbin thread is bunch up & getting tangled where the bobbin sits in the machine, but it’s also bunching and knitting up all n one spot on the material I am sewing . Now I’m STUCK!! Nothing works properly . Really appreciate it if you could help me. Thank You. -- checking out all ur classes on here and very much want to hear any & all suggestions that might of forgot to add to the book or would like to elaborate on
Other than measuring your hips, how do you go about cutting out the opening for the skirt?
Do you use a dressmaker's curve or something else?
Just a circle works, you can use a hip curve to trace if you want. And for the knits you want to measure the waist, not the hips - the fabric will stretch over the hips
