Metroid Prime 4 will be cross gen for sure. Nintendo would be crazy not to do this with all the recent fanfare and cries of Prime fans. I personally feel this will be the best selling Metroid game to ever release. The remastered version of the first prime sold over a million and that game is old as dirt. No doubt Prime 4 will sell more than that. Another thing is that you don't have to release just one or two system sellers at launch. You can release a variety of content. If Nintendo didn't see the impact for Metroid fans than they wouldn't have waited until the end of the Direct to show the trailer. They would have shown that game earlier during the Direct.

Metroid is not a system seller sure. I think it will still be cross Gen launch title, and it will not be used as the marquee title, but it will be used as extra title to launch with, to have more selection at launch. You can get Mario and Metroid type thing.
It might not be a system seller, But, If they launch a new Mario or Zelda along with Prime 4, Prime 4 will get a boost simply for being one of 2 first party options
38:44 The Hello Kitty Island Adventure thing was so funny to me because there was a South Park episode in 2006 about World of Warcraft, and in one scene, this dialogue happens:
"I don't play World of Warcraft."
"Butters, you said that you're on your computer all the time"
"Yea, but I'm playing Hello Kitty Island Adventure"
I immediately thought of that scene when I saw the game on the direct, I found out the game was now a thing from the direct, and from searching, realized it was released last year.
The only Dragon Quest game I've played is XI and I'm not anywhere close to finishing it, but I'm definitely gonna be picking up Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake and Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake. I'm also intrigued by The Legend of Zelda: Echos of Wisdom. The only Zelda games I've played are BOTW and TOTK so I'll pick up Link's Awakening in preparation for the new game.

Base in digital version to Nintendo world championship NES edition is $20 idk how much the DX is
About the motion controlled mini games they are most likely optimal. Seems to be confirmed in Nintendos website as well.
I think what I'm most excited about is the new Zelda, new Mario Party, and the Dragon Quest 2d hd remakes. Though I'm frustrated that they announced DQ1 remake for next year bc I just bought DQ1 this past weekend.

Considering Xenoblade 2 and Arms came out the first year (and neither are system sellers), I would say Prime 4 fits well enough as part of a Switch 2 launch lineup despite Metroid not being a system seller. Xenoblade and Metroid both are modest sellers while being technical showcases of the hardware so I think there's a pretty good chance tbh.
I'm just hoping because I want to see Samus with better graphics. She looks good enough here, but the switch's age is showing too much for me personally.
Yep! Nintendo is willing to release a variety of content out the gate. They have done this time and time again.

i was pleasantly surprised about this direct, it had some pretty solid content! i am mostly excited about the new zelda title and ace attorney investigations!! also i got a bit emotional when i saw dk country returns, that was the first game i got for my 3ds way back in 2013! my parents surprised me with it for my 13th bday, such a core memory for me!!🥲
