As a kid I had a good friend who owned one of these that was Silver and Blue. It was an absolute Monster! We had another buddy who lived in an apartment with door knockers and when this 442 pulled up it would vibrate the front door so hard that the door knocker would go knock knock knock ! Hilarious! We were on the main drag one night turning left into the turnaround parking lot and were hit on the left rear by a drunk illegal alien with his whole family in the car. Took my buddy about 10 years to rebuild the car and as far as I know he still owns it. Lots of great memories in that old 442, what a time.😎
This is the sweetest yet probably the most savage looking 442 w30 I've ever seen. LOVE the black/red combo but I'm certain it bumps the price quite a bit....
I had a 1968 442 with the W30 package option in the drive line. It ran really well, beat a new Judge one day which hurt his pride a lot. Loved the car and ended up trading it for a 1969 Mustang convertable 351 4-speed. Now it was a real DOG! Thanks for your show!

Absolutely beautiful car. I had a #’s matching 71 442 but had to sell it when we mover across country. Not a day goes by that i don’t kick my own ass for selling it!
Even the base '69 Cutlass (w/the Rocket 350) was a great riding car with decent power. I don't know if that 442 came standard with Polyglas or Wide Oval White letters - or with redlines, but I think a single thin redline tire would suit that car very well.
I dont think the W27 rear end cover was offered in 69 and the W30 did not have a brake booster. the stick should have 442 engraved in it. The engine color should be bronze not gold and it had a factory aluminum intake . This car has a painted gold Edelbrock manifold on it.
It's nice to have cars restored and look pretty. Every time I see those other nice cars just seating their and not getting driven it blows. I will never understand collector's that just store cars.
You stated that all 442's were built in Lansing, but you are incorrect about that. All W30's were built in Lansing, but 442's and Cutlass' were also built in Fremont CA from 1964 - 1980 and in Framingham NJ starting in 1970.
I just re-visited this video and caught something I didn't the first time. At a 1 min 17 seconds you tell the production numbers and at 5 minutes 27 seconds you mention the production numbers again, but they are not the same. I know you say "I think" before you mention it the second time but I can't but wonder if you had a break in between. It's all good though. LOL
I think that the brothers Need to hide the exhaust up in the Quarter panel a little bit better It doesn’t look factory Other than that it’s a bad ass car
almost every 442 or just cutlass with manual brakes i've seen,seemed to have a dint right in the middle of the front bumper,lol. ever notice that? only with young drivers that don't know the power of what they have.
Back in the day that 442 would of come with red-line Nylon cord tires. But todays radials are better. I personally would of handed the white ball back to the salesman and gotten a black ball for the shifter. Awsome cars.
@@V8TV Take a look at the 1969 Oldsmobile brochure,sorry but the sport ones back in the day are hard to find and specifically complicated to restore composed of 8 different parts each,i had to deal with that in the 80s and it was not easy or affordable to restore since they never offered reproductions in the after market,look at the Hurst Olds pictures and you'll see,sorry.

I just noticed this one Canadian car was sold in Edmonton at Don Weaton Chev Olds which still exists and is where I am from, Quite the coincidence.

This car has recently been restored, correcting inaccuracies along the way.
Hate to be picky, but, while there may have only been 47 w-30's sold in Canada in '69, there were thousands of regular 442's sold here that year.
