- Hey guys, Winston here! In today's video, I'm diving into the biggest lesson I learned while opening my pack and ship store-how I ended up spending an extra thousand of dollars (what I called STUPID TAX) and what I would do differently if I had to start all over again. If you're thinking about starting your own business or are just curious about the behind-the-scenes of opening a retail store, stick around! I'll be sharing the mistakes I made, the steps I would take now, and tips to help you avoid costly errors and save thousands on your startup costs

Thank you Winston for sharing candidly about your experience with starting your mailbox and ship store. You made an investment in yourself and your family's future and I know you will do well!
nice - good info
Yo Winston, thanks for the shoutout! You're right, I do only offer the package receiving service and dabble a bit in Pack and Ship (USPS only now) But you inspired me to get started with the passport photos, it seems like an easy service to add that can generate some nice revenue. Loving the content brother!
@@NapoleonSuarez passport photo is not a bad idea in your store 😉
Another oneee 😊
The store looks bigger than 900+ square feet.
@gracescircle4471 yup, i try to upload everyday.
Wow, it looks much bigger

Good Job and Beat Wishes for you
@sohailakram3313 thank you
How much money do we need to start this kind of business?
depends on your location and rent. but to start up, you're looking at low 40k minimum initial investment
Very location dependent and how your own carpentry/handy skills can help with the build out of counters etc... I had to hire a licensed contractor to paint, modify a wall and put in counter tops. I spent $32k to get my doors open as a shipping & mail center.
@@ShipArizona wow, that's crazy cheap, compared to california.
thank you for sharing!
