Sir thank you so much for your guidance! I have been worried sick since days as my cichlid has been very aggresive and fighting with every other fish in the tank. @@sunilnirwana2131 Don't worry parrot fish will not harm each other definitely they are chasing female and fighting for territory, Do one thing add some temporary hiding places (dot not thnk how it looks) or seperate the Boss parrot fish for 3-4 hrs in bucket with oxygen to change its behaviour

Fantastic topic. Sir, you have covered all those valid and important points. I am very fond of African Cichlids. I have a African Cichlids dedicated tank with double filtration (canister and top), thus my water remains clear. I have set up this Cichlids tank for last 1 n half years. Fishes are active (too much active, that is why I like them apart from the coloration) but main problem I found aggression. Got to know about hierarchy and boss from your video, and yes there is one Gunda and rest are also. Whomever I have lost, 4-5 that too only because of fighting. There are lots of hiding places still aggression. Recently I lost one strawberry and one Haps. I do use Hikari and WA food only. I had a doubt whether to use aquarium salt or not because seen in one You Tube video that African Cichlid tank salt should not be use but when I saw your video that yes no issue in using aquarium salt as I am doing every week. Their colour are at best level now, with my caring. Still learning. Some times they chase so much that there is splashes of water come out from aquarium. In these 1n half year one of the cichlid gave birth of a banana cichlid and that now at 1.5 inch, rest are at 2.5 inch now. Will expect more such videos on African Cichlids in future.

A tip, bedtime you do a water change, move the stones and decor around a bit, and due to this they will try to establish new territories and this will bring a shift in the Hierarchy, also separate the boss for a couple of weeks and re introduce
