Cool video , Don't pull it apart , get it flying we can see what you can get out of it :) , Do you think it matters which way the three phase wires coming from the turbine are wired, i.e do they have to be in a certain order going to the rectifier??, Thanks
I try to take all of them apart so everyone can see how the rotors are made and what kind of wire is in them and so forth, but it's harder to do with the larger turbines. I just might not be able to do it with this one. I expect that this will be the largest I work with...maybe.... The three phase output isn't polar. Those three wires can go to your rectifier in any orientation.
Grazie
I keep saying "soon" and I hate it! I went from not being able to get materials or not having funds but having all the time in the world to the straight opposite. I try to work on the site, tower, or generator a little every day. I'm hoping it'll be up by the end of the month.
My machinist has an apparatus that can jaw down on the shaft and then pull the core out keeping it centered. I haven't had to attempt it to break a generator down but I've needed it a few times in the past to put one back together. I'm going to take another stab at pulling this one apart with a three jaw puller. I might try and get it apart from the back plate. We'll see.
@@ToysforWatts be carefull dont want to ruin a magnet, my dad was a first class machinist, i shouldve too instead i became a mechanic and electrical worker. so now im going to learn machining its actual quite interesting on the more complex work.
Yep I learned that almost straight away with one of my first turbines a few years back. I actually don't like using these little blue ones so much because they're only rated for 60vdc...and when they say 60vdc, they really mean it. The black ones handle a lot higher voltage and amperage and I really need two or three more of them.
That's unfortunate. When I started this channel the idea was to play with Chinese turbines almost exclusively...the only reason I got tied up with iSta Breeze was because the bigger Chinese models were becoming scarce here and no plans to replenish them. I'm kind of glad it went that way. iSta Breeze has been a pretty decent company to play with and they're the ones who made it possible for me to play with the Heli. I think it's going to be a while before the Chinese market gets back up and going properly.

I bought the ista i1500. Which way does the hub go on? Dimple or flat side to the alternator?
It's a tapered shaft it'll only fit one way. Flat side goes out.
When r you gonna put up the new 2.0 turbine? Waiting in anticipation!

Pleeease, take It apart, i need to watch how is It made.
Thank you very much for the videos from Spain!!
I'll take another stab at opening it up before I get it up in the air and will definitely document the process if it happens.
yes we had to make a device to seperate pmas, those magnets make life hard.

careful with those watt meters, I fried mine with the kind of volts your are putting out open circuit.

Wouldn't a good alternator put out 10 at a breeze.
Hi!. do you have instagram?
Sorry I do not.
looking good. the 3,000 watt i ordered is stuck in china for now, they cant fly it out.

Aren't you blessed
The motor is probably water ingress protected.
It is. The i1500 motor was the same way. Caps were a VERY snug fit and they were sealed.
