Oh my God I'm italian and can't remember the last time I had a croissant (cornetto) or bread with butter and jam for breakfast 😂 truth is I have breakfast only when on holiday abroad. In NYC I used to stuff my face with doughnuts every morning and didn't gain weight as I walked for hours to visit places, same in Paris, where sweets are amazing! I had a French partner years ago and lived near Beauvais for a while, so beautiful! I love French food and sometimes I'll have it. I even have cheese at the end of the meal as a dessert sometimes 😊
The Aligot and Saucisse Toulouse is making me hungry! I’ll be there for Christmas for 8 days, and this is something I’ll have to try. I’m sure it tastes even better in cold weather. Yum!
That last bit at the bistro killed me! It's 10 am, and my mouth just gushed at the thought of cheesy potatoes with sausage; I was gonna have a rather simple breakfast, but now it's potato pancakes with cheese, sausages, and eggs. With a splash of Tobasco, of course.
Hello! I've just finished my visit to Pars August 16-22. Your recommendation to stay in Pigalle was spot on. I absolutely loved that area. Also, natives thought I was cool for picking that area as a first timer haha Thanks again!

I wish I saw this video before going to Paris for the Olympics but at least I got to try the canard confit, the Paris-Brest and, of course, the croissant. On a side note, I didn't knew how hard it was to find a boulangerie pattiserie open after 5 pm. Here in Chile we have something called "once" and having pastries for that is great. So I had to settle for the apéro 😅.
These look great! Have you ever been to the restaurant Le Bon Bock? Highly recommend! Had some great traditional French food here with friends back in June.
I JUST commented over at GCN that my go to Cafe Stop pastry was 06:42 Babka. It’s something we have embraced in NYC. It’s slowly becoming a UWS staple depending upon whom you ask.
I resonate so much, in Amsterdam suddenly all the fancy bakery's have pistachio pastries. But in turkish cuisine it is a staple and there's always pistachio desserts and pastries since thousands of years. But its nice they discover it now too

I once visited Paris in highschool for twenty years a one day bus trip from the Netherlands ;( I really didn't enjoy it because of not enough sleep, a bad restaurant near Sacre Coeur and a lot more bad experiences. Right?!? Chk ‘em out! They have one shop on r. Tardieu near Sacré Cœur and another on r. Rambuteau a stone’s throw from Centre Pompidou. Ice cream n pistaches…What’s not to like?
Paris-brest looks like a Profiterole except with cream and hazel nuts instead of ice cream. I like escargot especially the butter, garlic, and parsley which I sop up with a baguette. I love both confit de canard and magret de canard, boeuf bourgignon, coq au vin, and pâté. I am in heaven when I get entrecôte with foie gras and a glass of sauternes. Then the Chateauneuf du Pape with the steak. I do like a large cup of hot coffee. Although I like an espresso or capuccinno, it's too small for me. An Americano is better.
