I remember when asked for gta 4 on the xbox Christmas 2009. My mom ended up getting me the 2 dlc's, so I grew up with tbogt and tlad. Never got to play gta 4 with Niko so some of the stories didn't make sense.
I've discovered dlc back in 2010 or even 2011 when I download gta4 for pc, I'm form Poland and games back then was expensive and I didn't know English too, and when I started the game i was like wtf, why there is choice and why one choice is Gay 😂 where is niko 😂 but I played and I was amezed👍
I'm glad I wasn't the only one to have this experience lol

The beating heart in the statue of Happiness was there in the main game
Yeah, but it was really hard to get to, you needed to find a specific angle with the chopper and jump onto the platform. It's a lot easier to do with the parachute

This story had to be the most enjoyable one from the 3 story, and all the cool lil immersive stuff like the bodyguard work and just jamming in the club was really fun, spent most of my time in LC in Luis' shoes

Gta 4 and it's episodes do the 3 character dynamic better then gta 5 imo. Niko, Johnny and Luis have their own stories and lives that interconnect. while 5 is great in the first act with just Michael and Franklin, once Trevor comes in, Franklin gets sidelined which is sad because I find him the most relatable. (Michael is my fav in 5) TLAD and TBOGT are masterpieces of single player expansions I don't think rockstar are going to follow up on these two, the last expansion they did was Undead nightmare which was also amazing but that was almost 15 years ago.
My first experience with this game was via The Complete Editon along with Niko and Johnny back in 2013. I'll never forget the amount of fun I had with them especially with this expansion! Glad I purchased 3 games in 1!
Tony and Luis are what would have happened if Roman wasn't lying to Niko and he was actually a big businessman with a luxurious life, the result is that the problems would have been just the same, so much for the American dream

What’s hilarious is I can relate to the game expansion 😂 I was a bodyguard for a nightclub promoter and he was a multi-business owner and the places we went and the people we crossed paths with were definitely something I didn’t expect in my life

When i was middle school/ high school GTA 4 was the most recent one. And the balled of gay Tony was the most popular expansion.
I still believe that the lost and the damned and TBoGt was basically a text to see what "tone" 5 should follow.
Because Gay Tony was considered the best expansion, and it makes the game world feel the most like GTA 5.
One thing to remember of the time was that grey and brown were like the only colours allowed in games (which was rather dull) so it was nice that this expansion had some actual colour.
Was also nice that they introduced more fun to the gameplay. I always enjoyed the base jumping.
Strangely enough I played TBOGT more than GTA IV itself!

Luis, is the type of character that I hope Rockstar brings back in a future GTA game either in an online update or story mode DLC.
Such a chill fella I reckon he'd be a brilliant character to have just pop up in GTA6 somehow

This was my favourite of the two DLC’s personally.
You cant experience the whole gta4 game without playing both DLCs it completes the gaming experience, and The ballads of gay Tony is the best of the two DLCs rockstar could've made gta5 single player so much better then what it was if it just stop being so fucking greedy with gta online and those sharkcards, and released those DLCs they were hiding, and never fully developed I haven't played gta5 in years because of that I hope they dont do the same to gta6 for the love of god i hope R* does single player DLCs for gta6!

You can kill Santos if you win the cage fighting mission. But just killing him would mess up the story they were trying to tell.
We love Tony and Luis in the Fizhy household. Those two have a very special place in my heart because i used to pkay tbogt with my best friend at the time. Good memories.

I love GTA 5, but it has been done to death over the last 11 years.
Fizhy at this point, you should work backwards and let people experience the old games they have heard about, but not witnessed themselves

TBOGT was the best dlc ever for any game
I’d love to see you play the just case games, since I’m sure they could also become equally chaotic as RDR2.
A lot of people don’t know this so I’m assuming you don’t either but If you don’t throw the fight you get to kill santo so it’s the best option the game doesn’t tell you this and since it’s a rockstar game it makes sense people would assume it would just fail the mission lol
TLAD for me was miles ahead of TBOGT in terms of quality and story but i still enjoyed this DLC , Luis was a fun protagonist but out of the two TLAD takes the win
BoGT was the go to multiplayer mode I played w friends back in the day simply bc it had parachutes.
IMO TBOGT is better than the base game, Luis is great and the theme of the game is so good

Remember when DLC were actual expansions with plenty of new content that could basically be its own game at a reasonable price, instead of being drip fed little content for the price of actual games just so you can grief on normal people who does not spend money on non-existent items?
Man TBOGT is the best kind of expansion there is, it took away the piss filter, added new mechanics, weapons, vehicles even radio stations it was content galore and the tone was a real palate cleanser after the piss filter world of TLAD, it was all fun and games in this expansion, now all you can do is put money into the bottomless pit that is GTA O, and all you get is being frustrated and some dollars poorer.

This one felt like it heard the complaints of GTA IV and tried to rectify them cause people complained that san Andreas was still beter and GTA 4 never beat it cause its too realistic.. not enough crazy over the top moments and you know people were just nostalgic in general for the older style of games like San Andreas Vice city and Vcs this expansion felt like a combination of those games put together and rolled into GTA 4 GTA 5 went a few steps forward with this although the narative for both TBOGT and GTA V took a hit since the primary focus was on other content
I wonder if the reason they didn't put DLC in GTA 5 was because they couldn't figure out the save overwrite thing from this game??
gay tony is one of the best GTA characters ever hes awesome, this expansion is one of the best DLCs ever released and at one point you could buy both TLAD and TBoGT for less than $20!

I completely forgot how pivotal TBoGT was for GTA V. That campaign feels like the basis for GTA V, which is why it was so bland and awful.
Funny how a good game made the next one so much worse.

GAY tony i can see why people like more but i like how gritty lost is compared to this the base game is my favorite by far though.
