Purano Dunga is a romantic and comedy film directed by Ram Babu Gurung and produced by Raunak Bikram Kandel, Prakash Gurung, Om Chand Rauniyar and Dhan Bahadur Gurung in association with Cinema Arts. The film stars Dayahang Rai, Priyanka Karki in the lead roles as lovers, with Menuka Pradhan and Maotse Gurung in supporting roles of his brother and brother's wife. A man named Bhakte rows his boat for a living to give food to his family, but his job ends when his brother takes his boat.

The romantic chemistry between Menuka and Maotse is just played wonderfully and will be one of the most memorable chemistry onscreen. The progression of parallel stories are flawless and the stories are just awesome.

Nepali audience has bad choice i must say. I said this movie is best movie i have ever seen after watching this movie in theater. But most of the audience criticized. This is not commercial movie but art. So hats off to the writer director Ram Babu gurung for taking this much risk and entire crew. This kind of movie will never die in nepali movie industry.

This is one of the most underrated movie of all time. Pure emotions from all characters, especially menuka and maotse. Most authentic story that can easily happen in someone's life, wonderful storytelling.. I have watched more then 6 times already and yet still feels great to rewatch again time to time.
Main reason why this movie got negative response was because people's expectations were a comedy full entertainment movie like kabadi becoz most of the cast was from same movie and ram babu as director. But it's a completely different genere. Both movies were Equal great in their own genere but when people expectations didn't met they feel sour taste after watching it. Hence this movie was so undermined and less talked about movie. But in my opinion this is a hidden 💎 Gem and should be one of the most iconic movie of all time.
Movie is based on real story .on movie you can see emotions, romance and comedy on movie is perfect . everybody played a super role and acting is really and pure awesome .I really enjoyed movie .I hope in coming days we will get the chance to see many movies like this .

Very inspiring story, the role of Bhakta really touched. Seeing how they find happyness in small moments is superb. Credit to all the artists and filmmaker, this movie is class apart. Hope the moral of the story gets conveyed to the masses and people get inspire. Thousand Likes..!!

This movie is really great .... i liked all the character's and everyone's story ...this movie reminded me the typical situation of Nepal. I'm sad cause our Nepalese community still on poverty. it will go to Oscar nomination from Nepal.
