The Design Evolution of Auron

In this episode we're looking at the character design of Sir Auron from Final Fantasy X.
FF10 was a uniquely designed instalment to the Final Fantasy series, which played to both character stories and its own distinct aesthetic. Here we deconstruct the design of supporting character Auron to consider how his first impressions and unique design elements hint at HIS story and role in the Final Fantasy X story.

It's interesting how with just slight changes his design doesn't work anymore. To see what I mean, compare his FFX with the Kingdom Hearts design.
Tetsuya nomura knew what he was doing to the finest details.
