Someday someone will give us the sounds of the waves breaking without music or effects and when that happens it will be magical.... until then........🙁
I've often wondered about the headlands at Nazare and how much erosion there is from the force of the water. A magnificent display of Nature's dominance.. and beyond scary. Those surfers sure know how to shout at the devil.
This looks like a Trailer to one EPIC movie! ~ Man vs Wave ~ I like the thundering sounds you used... Its like the drums of Poseidon hammering the waves onto the shorelines.

I love water, whether that be drinking a gallon of filtered a day or, swimming in it. I especially love coastal waters and the beaches from the Canary Islands such as Fuerteventura, it's gloriously blue and clear, so clear you can see and feel the Parrot fish swimming along with you. This tho, this amount of water, just induces massive anxiety. 😬😳😬
I really don't understand, how ppl r so fearless inspite of standing very close to the giant waves... What will happen if suddenly the giant waves are striking hard and washing out the entire crowd's life....safety is important than enjoyment.... But that was a lovely capture of waves, to say in short, a great dance of the mother nature....
Its the music that gives you the chills. It's the cold wind that gives the people watching there the chills but the waves give chills of excitement to the Surfers

hey Marion! Nazare has a huge sea canyon that funnels over several km from the ocean right infront of the lighthouse and from hundreds of meter deep the swell hits the wall and creates that enormous waves! There are beautiful and more detailed explainations online! just google it! :) hope that helped! have fun!

Hurricanes only exist when there is tropical air involved. By the time these storms get here, they are a massive low pressure, not a hurricane. We dont have hurricanes in EU.
Hurricanes in the north atlantic build in the Caribbean and move up the east coast of North America. By the time the reach the north east, they travel back across the atlantic as a low pressure system. It´s no longer a hurricane despite how strong it could be. These low pressures in the atlantic travel for longer distance, so they produce larger swells then hurricanes. Hurricanes give the american east coast great swells but never as strong as these long period swells that come to EU.
I’d like to go there, not to surf, not to watch others surf but just to witness the awesomeness of the waves themselves.
Same, their size is so fascinating
Haven't seen a video that depicts the scale of Nazare this well before!! Amazing
