As a retired Southwest Airlines pilot I had several occasions in my career with that great company to personally meet and speak with Herb and he is the genuine thing.....always outgoing, interested in his employees and openly friendly to all. He will be dearly missed.

Yeah Dr. Kevin Zadai a retired flight attendant and now Captain speaks a lot about this.

One of the many reasons I chose to remain with SWA for almost two decades was because of the leadership of this man. What Herb taught me was far more valuable than an education at the most prestigious ivy league school.

Yes my teacher Mr. Kevin Zadai who was a flight ✈️ attendant on southwest for many years always speaks highly of Mr. Herb and his great Leadership and how he truly genuinely cared for ppl. 🙂

Herb is a prince. Many decades back, when I lived in California, I would write letters to him, each of which he always personally replied to. Imagine writing to Robert Crandall and receiving a reply.

This video showed me how it's possible for 5 mins to pass at the blink of eye despite intensive engagement (note-taking, etc.). Wow, I subscribed to WOBI just for the wow factor that this material provided.

1:43 Hire for attitude, train for skills, and look for leadership capability in every potential employee. Bad attitudes metastasize in your organization no matter where they’re located.

I’ve been watching videos all night
I bought my first airplane ticket with frontier cause it was super cheap but I’m looking for another ticket to get back and I’m convinced on choosing SWA
I feel like there isn’t nearly as much bad videos as other airlines have gotten shamed about
Excited to fly with them soon

Herb was the best. The Leadership now of Southwest Airlines has hit ROCK BOTTOM. Terrible, Evil, and Rotten to the core leadership . Still some good leaders left but most of them are hightailing it out of there by taking early retirement.

20yr employee here. Southwest is no longer a fun company to work for. Hasn't been since Gary Kelly took over. There was a time we were allowed to have fun at work but now it's frowned upon. However when I first started, I've never worked with so many pretentious asshole hypocrites in my life. Out of 20yrs I can count on one hand how many good years I've had at Southwest.

A bus company is not renting five charter buses to a probationary employee off the street. They would have known Southwest was backing her.
