About:
poppy playtime is a 2021 episodic survival horror video game developed and published by american indie developer mob entertainment. all of the players take the role of a former employee of toy-making company playtime co., some requiring a gadget huggy wuggy came along and named the grabpack, to progress while avoiding various enemies.
the first chapter was released on steam for microsoft windows on october 12, 2021, and later ported to android and ios on march 11, 2022, the playstation 4 and playstation 5 on december 20, 2023, and eventually the nintendo switch on december 25. a fourth chapter is planned. all chapters after the first are premium downloadable content.
now huggy wuggy is rap battling the rolling giant
the film fades in to a single flower in a forest, where julien reverchon kneels down to pick the flower and sniff on it. thunder is heard as julien gets up and observes his surroundings, the oldest view shows the rolling giant underground and now he rap battles huggy wuggy.

I love how realistic the camera movement is for the rolling giant. You can see how tense the person recording is as it keeps shaking probably getting more and more scared as the verse goes on before trying to turn away only to get jump scared/killed.

A nice nod to both, the oldest view is found footage-style, while poppy playtime is a game

Here lies a dead horse who's constantly beaten", "I suppose we both evoke some sense of nostalgia cause you remind me of the thousand trends you copied off of", "Don't bother a monolith made to honor a botanist, or next time we're talking 'Poppy's' your grave will have them on top of it", and finally "youre a doll that couldn't monitor jack til a box was dropped and you got the slip". this enough was lyrical murder, but huggy dies like the oldiest view protagonist and himself. i will admit, huggy pulled no punches, but the giant came for blood.
I think this might have just topped Jeff the Killer vs Jason Dean as my favorite part opener.

Honestly the matchup seems like one that would be heavily in favor of The Rolling Giant, simply because, Huggy Wuggy is a Poppy Playtime character, but honestly this is one of the closest matches on the channel for me. Not THE closest, but it's up there, so, points for keeping it largely fair.
I have no fucking idea who either of these characters are and it's STILL fire.

This battle is so impressive that it's kinda weird. I never thought that a battle would be made out of The Oldest View, but this is great. I love the use of atmosphere, especially in that intro, that hit the nail right on the head. Incredible work!

The dead horse line, holy shit the dead horse line the amount of layers in this bar. First of all the obvious, Huggy Wuggy as a trend is a beaten dead horse. Secondly, at the end of Poppy Playtime chapter one, Huggy Wuggy ends up dying (although I think he comes back in some form in chapter three I haven't played it so take that with a grain of salt). Thirdly, during the final sequence of The Oldest View, The Rolling Giant seemingly is able to create some sort of memory play out, where you can see a dead horse. And finally, just before this bar, the Giant says "Don't ask me what I want" because again in the ending sequence, what appears to be what actually triggers the Giant playing the memory is the protagonist asking it what he wants. Bonus meaning sort of, Huggy dies in the same way as the protagonist from The Oldest View but that's more of a visual thing. This is by far my favorite closer of any battle, sorry this comment is so fucking long but I just had to explain all of this because from what I've seen in the comments it is going underappreciated. Great job to the writers, this battle is fantastic

Imo huggy wuggy focused more on witty punchlines than truly hard-hitting disses(he insulted his appearance like several times, and those types of lines just get boring overtime to me). TRG actually attacked Huggy as a character("You love repeating formulas", "Thousand trends you copied off of", "When you run out of all your gimmicks", "Dead horse who's constantly beaten").

I don't know where the actual fuck you got these numbers but they're completely and utterly wrong, although Huggy is absolutely bigger by no small margin. it's more like the Giant is around 9-10 feet and Huggy is 12-13 (and the Giant is legitimately just made of cardboard and plants and shit, Huggy is a living creature with innards)

Was the "broke to broken to broken into and now I'm breaking you" bar a reference to Sadako's "I'm breaking through, then I'm breaking you, then it's breaking news" bar in the ghost cypher? It feels like a really random reference (though I'm not terribly familiar with either Sadako or the Giant so there might be a connection I'm missing) but the two bars sounds strangely similar.

I had no idea who The Rolling Giant was going into this, I only knew Huggy Wuggy. I expected to be biased and just vote for him but after watching this I’m torn on who to vote for.
