Wow, from Rachel's performance on that difficult piano section to Len's powerful vocals (and keeping Greg Lake's original modulation), this was incredible. Bravo everyone!
+yoochoobb Thank you very much from ALL of us! We've just completed all of the audio for Karn Evil 9, 1st Impr. Part 1. We're just waiting on some video to complete that collab, (with Rachel also). Very faithful to the original as well.
+17drums Will you be releasing each part separately as they are completed, or together when you've done all of them? And is there any chance of a re-edit of Enigma, with George re-playing his synths at 9:15 correctly this time? He's perfect except for the fanfare as C-C instead of F-C... just re-do that sequence and mix it into the edit. Shouldn't take too much time. Looks like everybody's heard it, but is too polite to call it out.
We'll be releasing each segment as completed. As far as the re-edit, everyone would lose all of their views if we edited it and re-uploaded it. Honestly, I never noticed any fault (but I'm just a drummer).
Thank you, Rachel, Len, George, Steve, Dave, Bálint and Mihály for sharing this amazing cover! I think Emerson and Lake would be honored! God bless you all.
Ladies and gentlemen, being a lifelong ELP fan, having seen them live on the works tour with full orchestra, and being a sometime acquaintance with Carl Palmer years back, you have accomplished a great thing here. Every touch and detail--even the triangle at 8:28. Their most challenging and beautiful piece. CONGRATULATIONS and thank you! Should have 1,000,000 views.
My father was a professional drummer and always want to know why Carl Palmer was so underrated he met him at modern drummer thanks you saw him on the Brain Salad Surgery tour I was only 7 years old my dad was born in 1932 why doesn't Carl Palmer get his due respect
Thanks from all of us! It is a shame that there seems to be no more great new bands rising to fill the vacuum of the 70's classical rock. Today, everyone wants to be a singing "idol" with (mostly) questionable "talent."
This rendition of The Endless Enigma shows what happens when talent, admiration, dedication and persistence combine to produce a loving musical tribute to the music mastery of ELP
Although there were others ELP was by far my fav Prog band during that period and this piece was my fav off the album. A powerful, authentic and overall great job. You captured the soul of this tune and the structures. Always a moving piece for me and seeing the needlepoint and complexity of this composition took me back as I saw them live and listened to this album and others extensively.
What a great musical period that was with ELP, Yes, Genesis, Gentle Giant, (and many others). Music had progressed beyond simple 3-minute songs to full-blown compositions. Yeah, there was some over-indulgence involved which irritated critics, but look how much over-indulgence there is in many classical pieces as well. Geniuses need to express themselves! I'm so glad to have lived through this time and seen these bands live. Thanks for watching, and for your generous comments.
That was excellent. It was 51 years 4 months and 3 days that I first saw them. 2 shows the early and evening at Convention Hall, Asbury Park. Would you believe orchestra seats early were 6 bucks and the late were 7. One of my better days in my life! I'll never forget when they came out on stage and Emerson just said "Here's a little thing called TARKUS"
Thanks, Derek! It's hard to believe that we've been listening to, and appreciating this music for over 50 years. I remember those days of cheap tickets. A long gone era, both economically and musically. Sad, but at least the music has been preserved and, hopefully, through videos such as these and efforts by others, will be passed on to future generations for their appreciation as well.
Wow! That was truly amazing knowing and understanding the complexity and uniqueness of this composition. A masterpiece performance indeed! Congrats on a job well done, the musical interpretation in this video and overall effort is indeed excellence in the highest order!
This is one of my favourite works by one of the greatest prog rock bands in history. You folks did an outstanding job. I'm blown away. I was able to see them 3 times live. I sure miss the good old days, and you talented musicians took me right back there. Many thanks.
Thanks, Wildon! I was lucky enough to see them five times (once with the orchestra), but that was all from 1977-78, and once in the 1990's. Would loved to have seen them in the early 70's as well.
Lifelong ELP fan. I’m speechless. Awesome. My very first concert was ELP at 15 in Houston at the Coliseum. I was blown away then and blown away by this.
It is always very relaxing to see musicians to dive into a piece with such pleasure. They are so very professional. No struggle, they apparently enjoy every note of this masterpiece. And so do we, listeners. Thanks.
Miss Rachel is a marvel. How well she captures the composition. The rest of y'all are wonderful too and support each other surprisingly well. It must have been an amazing mixing wildness to hear for the first time as each came together.
Thanks! Yeah, these collaborations always amaze me when I hear/see the final product. I just play my drums in my room to headphones, and then later they become part of an international effort because of Misi's wonderful editing/mixing. And to be able to "play" with musicians like Rachel, and ALL the others, is just a honor and a privilege for me.
Well you nailed that guys; beautiful. Grew up with ELP and was lucky enough to see them several times live - a superb ageless musical genre and Keith`s end has gutted many of us.
+Marcelo Soto-Quiroga Thanks from all of us. Fortunately, Rachel was friends with Keith Emerson, and had his blessings on all of her work devoted to ELP. He did applaud this before moving on, I'm happy to say.

Dave ... Another unbelievable performance from this whole group! I've always loved this music and this album...but never thought anyone could actually cover it..... Thanks for letting me work with you guys!
+17drums Len your Vocal work on this track is fantastic i never give praise unless it is due and as i said you guys get as close and as tight as when it was first recorded in the 70s an amazing performance thank you all but Len wow amazing vocalist
Credit where credits due you guys and Rachel closest i have heard and the thrill of hearing you sing it was amazing it was like listening to ELP practicing my Greg Lake vocals mate thought i was getting to old lol
I'm so impressed. Outstanding! Fantastic! Once again you people nail a classic prog song. This is no easy song either, yet, note for note, beat for beat, there it is! Rachel is flawless. I really sat down and listened too. A garland of martian fireflowers to you all!
Thank you very much from all of us. That's what we're trying to do--pass this music along to the next generation and possibly inspire the next Keiths, Gregs, and Carls.
What an amazing collaboration! Dave, you and everyone else, especially Rachel - so young and talented - put together one of the most incredible songs ever recorded, in my opinion. It actually brought tears to my eyes, bringing back the memories of when I heard it for the first time, and when I heard it at Madison Square Garden. A great thank you to everyone who made this possible!
Thanks, Mike! Yeah, this is one of ELP's greatest pieces, imo. I'm so glad to have seen them those 5 times in '77-78--including with the orchestra. Were you with us at MSG for that orchestra show? Did you hear them play this at the Christmas show in '74? Wish I could have been there for that one.
This is my favored performance of these works. Sorry ELP. I think you probably agree with me. It has their hearts in it and when I hear the official version these days, I miss some parts as much as I miss the original parts here. They've become an amalgam. I love all of it!
Wow, stunning - not only the musicianship from all involved, but the video production too is great. That goes for all your vids - keep up the great work. You have become my new guilty pleasure.
YOU ARE ALL SUCH A GIFT!!! THANK YOU!!! What a beautiful international compilation of awesomeness! A lifelong fan (Roosevelt Stadium 73') astounding rendition here. Very special indeed... Oceans of thanks....

Good lord, that Kawai piano sounds fantastic! I saw the Logo early on and had my doubts, but wow wow wow...what a gorgeous piano, such consistent tone. If it's hers, I hope she can keep it in this good shape forever. Bravo, Rachel!
Thanks, Ron. How have you been? Done any more collabs lately? I've had to retire for a while myself due to an injured hand, and selling the home. Moving out, so I had to take down the set. What a job that was. Not sure when I'll be able to put it back up again. (Wish I had a personal roadie.) Happy New Year brother! Stay safe.
@@17drums Been doing great, can't complain. Send audio & video to Cees van Ooijen quite a while back for a Gentle Giant collab, but it never materialized. I think he's concentrating on his local band. I think the collab business is not all that active anymore. Hope your hand heals OK. Best wishes. Ron
That was one of the most amazing things I be seen. I saw ELP many times in the seventies and I've even attempted to play their stuff. That was spot on. I'm now a record producer and the production was perfect. A truly amazing accomplishment
+FaZe Crafty What a great compliment! Thank you so much from all of us! We've done a few other ELP collabs. Right now, we're working on the entire Karn Evil 9 suite. Stay tuned!
Brilliant! For a collaboration from around the world that redition had a very fresh feel. Congratualtions to the whole team. Just seen your drum section for Freehand by Gentle Giant - what a piece. Look forward to that.
Hi Dave, such a phenomenal performance; I am speechless... You all are so incredible and I thank God for each and every one of you and I'm so happy that we became acquainted through youtube. I would so love to play with you all sometimes- maybe add in some Percussion too. But in the meantime PLEASE extend my congratulations and admiration to all in the Band. Everyone played so wonderfully. Keith, Greg and Carl will be amazed as well :>) What a tremendous accomplishment and Life Event for all of you !!! Thanks to youtube- now that work is forever for the World to see and hear. My deepest Respect and gratitude and love Dave. You're my Drumming Brother :>) Best Regards, Tones
+Tony Rocks Thanks, Tony! That was a very heartfelt comment, my friend. I really have been blessed to play with all of these wonderful musicians. And it has been through RUclips that we from around the world have been able to get together in harmony to create these lasting tributes.
The EKG showed at the beginning is sinus with multifocal atrial contraction (MAC).sick heart. Doen't have to go to ER now but he needs to see a cardiologist next week. Nice tribute!
That's what we try to do--keep this great music alive so that younger generations might happen upon it and realize what they've been missing all along. Thanks again for watching Keith, and for appreciating our efforts.
absolutely fantastic i have always loved Rachel's work this collaboration is as close as your gona gt to the sound of elp a band working in perfect harmony thank you
She is fantastic but tell you i look on that song s elp at there best and you guys pinned it down don't thank me thank you for being as close to the original as possible your amazing and Rachel well what can you say what a player all round the true sound of ELP would love to put down a my gregs vocals for you maybe someday
Thanks! It would be great If Carl ever saw any of my tributes to him. Even better, would be a (hopefully nice) comment. We once received a very nice comment from Robert Fripp (of King Crimson) on a cover we did of theirs. And Steve Howe (of Yes) has commended the guitarist who played on a few of our Yes covers. It's nice when the "great" condescend to compliment us mere mortals!
@@17drums You're welcome! And your drumming would have been spectacular with only 16 drums! (I'm guessing this is Dave by the handle.) I've always used Carl Palmer's drumming on The Endless Enigma as my example (tied with Keith Moon's on Goin' Mobile) as the Greatest Rock Drumming Song (that isn't Ringo) of All Time, and you completely nailed it. And you even did so with the total restraint called for by the recording situation, as opposed to Carl's beat-the-skins-to-death-while-being-brilliant approach. Congratulations, and thanks to you all for those 10 plus minutes of absolute musical joy for me and all the others I'm now directing to it!
Splendid cover! I don't know the original, but the beginning is quite modern and points to modern classical, a truely phantastic mixture of classical Jazz and Prog. Great performance by all of you, I was most impressed by the playing of Rachel on the real piano and though Len is not the youngest singer (excuse, Len :-) he is still able to manage crystal clear highs, many singers loose the higher register with age, so hats off to you all
Rachel played this last night at The Official Keith Emerson Tribute Concert and her rendition was nothing short of amazing! (I kept thinking of The Relayer album by Yes. you'll see what I mean when you hear it, but that's just me) Hopefully you all will purchase the video when it comes out. You will not be let down, I promise!
We all did our parts individually and then Misi pieced them all together. The hardest part was getting them all eventually done--as everyone's schedules differed, regarding free time to record. And though it sounds like a massive project when I say it took a couple of years, that's a little deceptive. Getting everyone to record both audio and video was the most time-consuming part. Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed it! That makes it all worth the time and effort.
You Guys Are Great With Some Mighty Fine Musical Precision, And Always Wonderful To Hear You Rachel With Your Most Incredible Musical Talent !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All Of You, Thank You....
Brought some tears tonight.. I grew up listening intensively to this album back in the early seventies... Thank God for beautiful music.....

+Tony Rocks Thanks, Tony! That was a very heartfelt comment, my friend. I really have been blessed to play with all of these wonderful musicians. And it has been through RUclips that we from around the world have been able to get together in harmony to create these lasting tributes.
You've all nailed it.. Well done Rachel Flowers you are a shining star.. Thanks..
+Steve Fraser Thank you from all of us. RIP Keith.
Close to perfection 😍👏👏👏🥇
Thanks!
WOW, just WOW. Amazing bit of work by all
Thanks John! We appreciate your appreciation. Comments like yours make it worth all the time and effort we put into these projects.
The EKG showed at the beginning is sinus with multifocal atrial contraction (MAC).sick heart. Doen't have to go to ER now but he needs to see a cardiologist next week. Nice tribute!
I listen to this version more than the ELP version, no offense to ELP, ya'll sound goooood.
Absolutely epic. Thank you for performing this timeless and beautiful music with such talent and love.
Thank you so much from the entire team!
RIP Keith - You must rest easier knowing that there are people still playing (and appreciating!) the music you wrote and played so well...
That's what we try to do--keep this great music alive so that younger generations might happen upon it and realize what they've been missing all along. Thanks again for watching Keith, and for appreciating our efforts.
absolutely fantastic i have always loved Rachel's work this collaboration is as close as your gona gt to the sound of elp a band working in perfect harmony thank you
+Ian Tasker Thanks, Ian! We weren't even going to cover this song if we couldn't get Rachel for the 'Fugue' part.
She is fantastic but tell you i look on that song s elp at there best and you guys pinned it down don't thank me thank you for being as close to the original as possible your amazing and Rachel well what can you say what a player all round the true sound of ELP would love to put down a my gregs vocals for you maybe someday
Would love to hear your GL vocals! Anything posted on YT?
nothing as of yet watch this space
Len what a great singer you are!
Thanks Joe!
OMG this is hellaciously good. Bravo, team! I hope Carl has seen this
Awesome. So good to hear the wonderful music of ELP brought back to life
Thanks from all of us! We love reproducing this great music and keeping it alive.
Really awesome!!!!
Congratulations from Argentina!!!
Thanks, Korla!
That is absolutely outstanding! Way to go, musicians!
Thanks Henry, from all of us!
@@henrysmith1994 Very generous comments Henry, thank you.
She is amazing ❤
Yes, she is amazing. We were VERY fortunate to have her play with us.
An excellent rendition of one of Keith's best ever compositions! Many thanks and hearty congrats on a fine job well done.
Thanks from all of us!
Awesome cover of a great great song by ELP. Thanks for share!!
Thanks from all of us for watching!
Brano eseguito in maniera eccezionale. Artisti fenomenali. Credo che anche Keith e Greg avrebbero applaudito l'esibizione. Well done.
La ringrazio molto da tutti noi!
Bravo!!!!!!!
Brilliant!!!!!
+Alexander Lazic Thank you from all of us!
Splendid cover! I don't know the original, but the beginning is quite modern and points to modern classical, a truely phantastic mixture of classical Jazz and Prog. Great performance by all of you, I was most impressed by the playing of Rachel on the real piano and though Len is not the youngest singer (excuse, Len :-) he is still able to manage crystal clear highs, many singers loose the higher register with age, so hats off to you all
+Dirk Radloff Thanks from all of us, Dirk!
+Dirk Radloff ....Thanks Dirk...I try to defy age any way I can...LOL!
You will not be let down, I promise!
just great !! Thanks guys !!
Thank YOU!
speechless...best elp cover ever
+Caiosama205 Thank you very much from ALL of us!

Simplesmente maravilhoso.
¡Muchas gracias a todos!
just incredible
Thanks! We appreciate it.
A great amazing piece of work.thanks.
Thank you for watching!
Incredible.
Thanks!
That was awesome...don't know how easy it was to accomplish but it was fun to check out.
That makes it all worth the time and effort.
i dont know what to say except for all of you did a beautiful job " each of your parts". ha ha very nicely done everyone of you.
+Robert Miller Thanks again so much, Robert!
