This video was inspired by a ghost story I wrote called “The Watching Wood” that really worked well with the imagery in the song (that I wrote later). My favorite ghost story author- The legendary MR James said it best- “A requisite, in my opinion, for ghost stories is that the ghost should be malevolent or odious: amiable. Helpful apparitions are all very well in fairy tales or in local legends, but I have no use for them in a fictitious ghost story”. James perfected a method of story-telling which has since become known as ”Jamesian”. There are three major points in his theory and I used them all in this video. Does anyone know them?

Argyle Goolsby is simply amazing,i was slightly worried that this new album would not live up to the last, but now i see what an absolute fool i was, this song is filled with so much, all of the horrific ,flippant beauty that Goolsby wields so easily. i am so glad that there will soon be more of this music in the world!
