No i'm pretty sure taeyeon and jessica were always main vocals. However, Taeyeon has always been a significantly better vocalist than jessica (skill wise). Now that may have changed as Seohyun and Tiffany got better. Seohyun and Jessica were on par in terms of vocals since TTS debuted (but Seohyun was never really that far behind Jessica in terms of skill) But you're right about hyoyeon being the visual.
