This is actually a really good video. I see here in comments some people imagined it differently because of the title but it actually has the depth and he explains why HE still uses an iphone 8 + ,whatever his reasons are and i think although it is different kind of a video than many consumers would expect, its good. I’ve been using iphone 6s until 2023 and i changed it for 4 years “old” Xs only because i kinda “inherited it”. People can buy newer versions, but many times it really solves nothing except their emotional need.
Great thing I learned in this video is upgrade when it solves the actual problem... Keep that realism in your videos...never be fake like other tech RUclipsrs.. You got your 415 subscriber❤
as a commercial manager 44 years old, I'm using a non-plus iPhone 8 in 2024. It's slow but enough for daily works and life. I had an iPhone 11 and an iPhone 12 pro max but in the summer of 2024 I went back to the small home buttom iPhone.
@@ljtech20 I just bought the phone for $90 and it's perfect. I won't be upgrading unless I absolutely have to, seems a bit extreme but I am a minimalist
iPhone 8 Plus was a great phone it had good cameras, innovative Touch ID, was a time when Apple cared, and iOS 12. One guy once said he’s not the type of guy to spend thousands on a phone. But it depends on the type of feature you want and need.
I sold my iphone 12 mini yesterday because the battery health was bad it had other issues. And I also had a scrolling addictio. Im a phone collector as well. And I love the design of the iPhone 8 Plus so I decided to use the money from selling my 12 Mini and get a 8 plus in Gold 256 GB with better battery health than my 12 mini
This year I decided to break my new phone habit that materialized when I switched to Apple. I started with the 11 and have upgraded every year. This year, I decided to stop. I still have my 14 Pro Max. I plan on keeping it. It's weird that this same urge doesn't apply to computers. I bought the M1 Macbook Air new and the M1 Mac mini refurbished. I'm completely happy with them. When I used Android, I primarily used the Samsung Note. My last was the Note 9 and I usually upgraded every 3 to 4 years. With Apple, I turned into a knucklehead! LOL I hope to stop that now. It's a waste. Nice video man.
Ugh I hear you. I used to be that guy chasing the greatest phone with all the best specs; in the end is just a waste. A phone well taken care of can easily last you quite a few years. In the end, they all do the same thing. The latest ones just do things marginally better than the previous models. Save money and mental energy in the long run!
There's nothing wrong with using an old phone. I still use the Samsung Galaxy S9+, a 6 year old phone that I bought 1 year after it's launch. Everytime a new piece of tech comes out, it's all just minimal upgrades and gimmicks. Not to mention, over priced, and software buggy on the 1st year it was launched. I won't be upgrading anytime soon because the phone still works.
I saw someone today with iPhone 8 and I was surprised and it was refreshing to see it again. I like the iPhone 7 and 8 plus design with the innovative Haptic Touch ID. I don’t really prefer what Apple has made the iPhone into these days it’s all Face ID and the innovation has died.
I could probably say the same about people who use wired earbuds and older &more affordable devices in 2024 like the Samsung A series and the older iPhones like the iPhone X and 11 Using older devices means you don’t have to spend thousands on the latest iPhone like the iPhone 15
you are very mistaken when it comes to the price of the base model 15 bc its actually $799 witch is a whole $200 cheaper than $1000, the 15 plus is $100 more expensive and the pro is $1000 then the pro max is $1200
You know while yes the base model is $799 which is considerably less then a 1,000 dollars but I do agree with him that it is a considerably high amount for a phone I’m not one to talk as I have a 15 pro max with 512gb but my work depends on my phone because of my coaching business what i do find funny is People will spend 1500 or more on phones tablets and other tech but they will cheap out on there health and living expenses smh it’s pretty sad but yeah 799 on a phone is a lot again to me my 15 pro max is a tax right off and the end of the year since it’s for my business but both Apple and Samsung are charging ridiculous amounts of money for phones
my mum's phone broke and i was thinking of buying a used iphone for her cuz m a student and cant afford a 800 usd+ phone lol. she dont like gesture controls at all, she hates them and thats why she has been using android for like 9 years now. so naturally, iphone 8 plus came to my mind cuz it has a home button. i thought about the se as well but that thing is just way too small. i just needed a final push before i buy it so thanks lol. great vid btw, you earned a sub.
The talk is about 8 plus not you and your opinion, you should be showing the mobile atleast 50% of the time in video! but you haven't shown the mobile a single time. tip is that your video should contain visuals and cut in every 5-7 secs. that's how you grow mate!
This video wasn’t meant to be a review of the phone, but precisely why I personally still use it today. I appreciate the feedback though, will keep it in mind for future similar videos.
its a double edged sword because the title wasn’t “why YOU should still use an older iphone in 2024” but why HE still uses it. I understand some people may expect something different but in this case the creator is not wrong. Considering the title he could {and he did} grab the concept however he wanted, whether it is talking about technical stuff including showing the device or explaining his philosophy behind it.
i’m still using iphone x in 2024 even though it doesn’t supports the newest version anymore. But for me it’s all good and usable, except for the battery of course! lol
that was my intention with the samsung z flip 4 , to have a little box that its not "open" to loose time, Im also have a timer with apps as instagram , youtube
Great video but I think you should jump on short videos too to boom your growth and if it is so I'm too a short form video editor do consider me I'll share u my portfolio
I still use my iPhone 8 Plus since 2017 & still going strong 😊
So am I. Going strong also.
