- This is part 2 of my Missouri Public Land hunt. I used my saddle hunting gear from Tethrd and my Juiced RipCurrent S e-bike to find this big fella.
If you didn't see part 1, you can watch it here:

Liked the way you set up your buddy very original an the way hunting buddies are authentic true hunting great video!
It's the best
Yeah he got me good!!
Gotta be careful starting out hunting that low. Once you start, you'll never go back to 20+ 😉
NOOOOOOOOOOOO keep me 30 feet baby!!!!
@@G2Outdoors 🤣🤣🤣
shit half my hunts are on the ground!
And welcome to missouri weather summer fall winter all in one day
So do you still take climbing sticks too? This saddle hunting has be intrigued but I’m not familiar with the setup. What’s the advantage over a lightweight climbing stand?
Check out my channel. Lots of videos explaining the advantages. Nothing wrong with a lightweight climber if you don't have to walk far, don't have to deal with any thick terrain, and you have plenty of tall straight trees without limbs.
Well done Greg! After watching episode 1, I felt your pain as I recalled a bad paunch hit I made recently on a nice buck the day after Thanksgiving on Massachusetts WMA public called The Hockomock Swamp in The Bridgewater Triangle (check out the Amazon documentary)...spooky place with lots of folk tales that send hunters running for their trucks after shooting hours, but big bucks roam there! Fortunately, I got a follow-up right into the boiler room...truly blessed as that opportunity for redemption rarely comes comes that quickly, and he was my first saddle buck out of my Tethrd Mantis with a 15yd recovery. I'm glad you got your redemption too!
That's an awesome story. Sounds like some Blair Witch stuff happening up there. Redemption truly is hard to come by in the deer woods. I'm still haunted by the bad shot I took a few years back in Illinois.
Congrats on a beautiful buck...From one Ga hunter to another good luck this year be safe and God bless
Enjoyed the video. It's refreshing to watch someone who knows how to have fun, has a sense of humer and does not take themself to seriously.
Greg which scentlok suit were u wearing up there in those temps? I’m sure you’re layered up but it looks like a mid season suit. How it hold up to the cold? I’m in SC and was sweating in the tree today. It’s 70 degrees right now 🤨
I wore 3 different suits. The Savannah on the day or two when it was hot. I used the Wind Brace A LOT. It was my favorite. I also used the full season Tactix. I like that one as well. I used the base layers nearly every day and I LOVE THEM. The only piece I didn't like was the Morphic jacket/pants. I just did a full review on all those pieces. Click on my channel and you'll find it.
G2 Outdoors I saw the review you did on your suits! Nice to see they will keep you warm “enough” lol. May have to grab a couple of those! Keep the vids coming.
Great video! Even a broken clock is correct two times a day! I have the Mantis saddle, is an ebike something that is a must have once you get used to one? Any advice on what kind of ebike to buy and what to avoid, for a 230+ lb. guy? Loved watching, & nice that you show everyone what's possible.
I'd look into Rambo bikes. They are built super tough and beefy. I wouldn't say it's a "must have". Nice if you have to walk a long way though.
E bikes on missouri public land..?? Hmmm .. not legal fellers..!!
It's legal. We checked with the local authorities prior to the hunt. Only illegal if the bike motors are over 750 watts. 750 watts and below is considered a bicycle.
G2 Outdoors not sure exactly where you were hunting but most missouri public lands are closed to even bicycles except to roads open to motor vehicles..
Very Cool. So how much do you pay Fling to get you on deer :) Njce buck Greg
Lolol it was the other way around!!!!
Always remember to check & lock your carabiners!!! Stay safe ahead of having fun. Falling is not fun!!!!!
This is awesome! As a Georgia native I experienced my first Missouri trip this past year in the northwest corner near Sheridan/maryville area. The weather was just like this. What cabins do you guys rent?
Just a suggestion as far as shoulder shots. Try upping arrow weight and FOC, switch to a good solid fixed blade head and never worry about bones again
And just bought a radrover how do they hold up for hunting compared to the other ebike yaw run
Great. Battery life isn't quite as nice, but totally workable. I have no problem recommending the Rad Rover.
Awesome buck man!! I am definitely sold on the saddle hunting!! Now I just have to convince my wife the money spent will be well worth it to buy 2 setups.. I believe we will have Christmas at tax time.. and 2 go anywhere sets.. your number 1 Hoosier fans
Rock on. My biggest buck EVER came from Richmond, IN. I have a special place in my heart for the Hoosier state.
Every one seems to overlook Indiana when whitetail hunting, I have killed a handful of Big bucks a couple of Monsters, 3 of the 5 were on state property.. I guess it makes a great kept secret to only of the people who know
So glad you fairied up and got some real arrows, no more shoulder issues 😂
What part of ga yaw from
Near Savannah
Congrats on an awesome buck Greg. Those ebikes are badass. I would love to see a comparison video on how they perform. I might just have to get one.
I'm making one tomorrow.
I’ve had one for a couple years and wished I had got it sooner. They are awesome.
That shoulder shot was a mechanical wasnt it
What method do you use to climb the when saddle hunting on public land.
We had a bunch of different options in camp this year...lots of different climbing stick options. I prefer shorter sticks with a double step and a climbing aider. On this hunt I used leverage sticks (discontinued) with a 5 step CMI climbing etrier. If legal, I'll use tree spurs. Other guys use the one stick method.
@@G2Outdoors thanks I would use spurs but not legal. So will go with short stick an ader
rich people type hunting lol
Nice work. Way to hang in there after that first shot! Northern Missouri, I assume?
Yeah we were in the north central quadrant of the south western side near the eastern half.
@@G2Outdoors LOL.... smart ass....
@@ronswanson8247 lololol
the only place to shoot a buck!? 🦌😎
"fire crotch fiddler"...
What camera u useing..sharp
This was filmed with a Sony Ax700 and a DJI Osmo action for the second angle.
Great buck Greg! Congrats
Good job. Congratulations
Nice saddle! Looks new.
hmmm.
Congrats buddy!
Excellent video! I can appreciate the honesty and authenticity of this video. We are human. Less than perfect shots happen. Awesome buck! I sure am glad Jesus was perfect because I’m sure not. Merry Christmas to you and your family Greg
Awesome job Greg!!
Thanks Ikeman!!!
Great one
Well done Greg!!!
Isnt this the guy whos started tethrd
Yup.
Using those wimpy arrows will do that. 500+ grains with a cut on contact head. Deer would die on that shoulder shot
I went back to my slick tricks. Tried and true. My smurf draw length doesn't help...
@@G2Outdoors beef that arrow up bro. Seriously. Load the front of the arrow with no less than 225 grains. High foc
I love the Garmin sight... Got one on my evolve.. Deff worth the price👍👍
Nice Buck, but if your map at 7:37 is correct you are no longer on Deer Ridge Conservation area.
lol nice try!
@@G2Outdoors Just saying you may want to check your map.
@@scottallen3515 maybe I used a fake map...
Love your videos keep up the great content. My season got extended till the end of January and cant wait to pull out the bow again.
Great job, Greg! Really nice buck!
Congrats brother!! I’m enjoying my tethrd mantis saddle! Smoked a doe last week in it with my muzzle loader in my saddle and wouldn’t have been able to shoot her if it wasn’t for the saddle because she came directly behind me!
This is awesome! Glad you let me know. If you're around Stewart...hit me up.
All that for no footage!!
Awesome buck! One question, you talked about a tree being too big, what is your favorite size?
Generally I like a basketball sized tree at hunting height. Too much bigger and it's difficult to shoot all the way around the tree.
You guys can do this to all you gotta do is Buy a tag and a 6000.00$ bike..
Don't need a bike... But it sure helps.
Or you can just make excuses about why you can't do it.
I do it every year without a bike I just walk in I was being sarcastic
@@chrislindsey3523 gotcha! Legs work too lol but a bike sure does make it easier.
Awesome video and hunt with a great group of friends!!!! Congrats on a great buck!!!
That's the only way to hunt!
music/ NO
Wow! Great Buck! Congratulations Greg. Lol. Love the way you set up Karl. Great time.
Thanks Paul!
More hunting less talking
Nice one! What scent loc are you wearing at the end of this video? I just received the taktix and the Savannah line series. Oh and by the way...I'm ordering the Mantis right now! It only took me a year to decide!
I think that's the wind brace. It's my favorite ScentLok suit. Also...the heavy base layers...MONEY.
Congrats!
F yeah! 💪
Congrats on a beautiful well earned buck!
Thanks Mike!
Can't use e bikes on public land in NY, would love to have one for some spots way out there. Plus it looks fun :)
You should double check the regs. The federal standard classifies any e-bike with 750w motor or less as a bicycle (non-motorized). Unless your state or wildlife management agency has specifically outlawed them, you may be legal. Don't break the rules, but definitely make sure they are SPECIFICALLY outlawed. They're a big help.
@@G2Outdoors says they are banned from Dec managed lands in NY.
Bikes of any kind are not allowed on Conservation Dept. (State) land here in Missouri. So I assume they must have been in a national Forest.
Where's the giant buck? Nice clickbait.
Video is a waste of time.
