Badass 3 String Cigar Box Bass

30" short scale bass. Strings are .45, .65, .85 tuned EBE. I know you can tune it EAD as well. This thing is giant compared to my other CBGs and it is awesome. Thanks for checking out this video. If you are intested in a custom CBG or Bass shoot me an email.

You should consider using the same gauge strings as a "bass VI". The string gauges are smaller and used on a 27-30" scale. The first four strings are tuned just like a standard bass and sound just like a bass. I built one from a strat copy and it turned out great. Its a 6 string guitar tuned one octave lower. With that being said you could probably just make a 4 string CB bass.

@robertbyrdsguitars I understand.. I don't think the smaller strings would be as stressful on the neck as the thicker strings.
