Love fish pie.I add grated carrot and zucchini to the mixture. In Australia the only time we can get smoked cod is Easter. Fish pie is our special dish on Good Friday
I’m loving these recipes. While I live in NZ, originally from the UK, and our NZ supermarkets don’t have the convenience foods that UK ones do, I still get heaps of hints and tips. PS UK supermarkets are the best
Some yummy meals! I actually made a fish pie this week, but the recipe I was following said to add the fish to the roux and poach it. It was lovely all the same but I’ll try your method next time 😊😋

Adding a good tablespoon of tartare sauce to the roux give extra flavour.

Omg, so I’m not an absolute weirdo! Everyone I know always mocks me for adding a tomato sauce to my shepherds pie - I’ve been told it’s wrong

Yes that’s how you usually make fish pie but my way is easier so a bit more cheaty!! Hehe xxx
I do cottage pie like that too but I put a beef oxo in the tomato sauce which seems to work!
