Average 1000 to 1300 cases a night solo. As long as your mental motivation is grounded, the physical part is easy. I was able to become a home owner from the income I make in Food Service. Make money not excuses!!!

In the interview they just explain the job, the benefits, potential salary, your experience as a CDL Holder, any restrictions, and they also ask if you feel able to perform the job. Atmosphere is a huge deal where you work. Makes it kinda not feel like work as much. I've actually met a couple of GFS people (non drivers). They really liked how they were treated.
At ben e keith here in fort worth texas for almost a year turned 21 in August and got into our cdl program and almost done im already driving but I have all the experience already from being here almost a year working night routes averaging 1,600 to 2,000 a day and should be the youngest night driver here 💪🏽
I use to do the same thing with my hand truck lol Bought some foam and duct tape from Home Depot and wrapped it tight at the top of my hand truck for comfort and better grip. Way better👌🏾

I’m a big fan Anthony I got hired as a van driver for gordan foods for now while going to school for my CDL A I start my job January 5th get my foot in the door early so I can learn the job that way when I get my CDL A I just have to learn how to drive
So I’m currently in cdl school taking weekend classes to still provide at home and pretty set on us foods driving as I’m already in the door as a warehouse worker. Biggest thing I notice gfs does that we don’t is zone stacking. Does a messed up stacked pallet change your route that much??
Almost two months here with McLane, I got hit bit that weather this week, in the southeast, and my little ol raincoat didnt cut it, my shirt was literally the only article of clothing that wasn't soaked through... I had a froggtogg poncho when I was with the beverage company but it got tore up after a couple uses. What recommendations do you guys have for ponchos stay dry in inclement weather?
I have a heavy duty poncho that my wife purchased from Dicks Sporting Goods. It’s lightweight and it works for me. I’ve purchased rain pants & jacket in the past but I burn up in it lol. You get hot quick. I can just pull the poncho off & keep it moving.

GFS..from a U.S. foodservice employee. We pull up to a hospital together. My 1st stop is pre separated for me. GFS couldn't fit a tennis ball in his trailer. It literally looked like he lost a tetris game. Not 1 pallet for him. No way I'd ever deal with that silliness. And at $35 a hour & time/half after 8....& dbl time n a half the day b4 a holiday & the holiday.....
My trailer is palletized so I personally don’t have a floor loaded trailer. I also have a hospital that’s a key drop so I just pull pallets off & go! Easy peasy..
@@imanthonytv I can't tell you how many times gfs trailers were a nightmare. From us being @ mutual stops. Not throwing shade. But I'd laugh at my driver manager & tell him to deliver it. A 38' trailer with a 675 case count & they are packed so tight you need a crowbar to get em out.

What up bro.. Just depends on your route. I’m a chain delivery driver so I’m on a 4 day work schedule with an option to work 5 days. My off days are Wed,Sat, & Sun. At GFS, chain delivery driver’s typically make more than local sales service drivers. We get paid weekly at GFS. We get component pay. So pay is determined by the total cases, total stops, total miles, & hours worked. Could be anywhere from $1,500-2k weekly gross. I can’t really speak on Mclane or PFG but they seem to do pretty well. You should be good with either one.
I work for McLane grocery division. I'm not sure how we run in Georgia, but in OH and MI we have a $3000 biweekly guarantee on a 4 day work week. We can run extra routes pretty much whenever we want. So income is anywhere from $78000 to over $100000 per year.
I’ve been at McLane for 8 years but I’ve only been a driver for 6 months. We bid soon and I think I’m gonna get bumped backed to extra board 😵💫 Thinking of jumping ship to GFS I would like a home every day position.
I’ll say this.. I’m all for getting money the easy way. Whether you’re getting it passively through investing, social media, marketing, etc. Some people would probably call it working smarter and not harder. I can also appreciate the blue collar workers getting money. There are so many ways to create wealth these days and going the traditional route and working a job for 30yrs isn’t the only option anymore so I’m not mad at the people getting the easy LEGIT money! I see a plethora of young entrepreneurs who have managed to create a substantial amount of wealth through social media and ad revenue. It’s awesome! I respect anybody getting money the legal legit way.

You can definitely still get jobs with an automatic restriction so in that regard I would say “No” it’s not that bad. However, having the restriction will decrease your job opportunities because many employers don’t want to see any restrictions on your CDL for obvious reasons.

I agree 100%. Many companies are transitioning to an all automatic fleet. I know here at GFS, all of our new tractors going forward will be automatics. Several months ago I had the opportunity of interviewing Kara Gordon Warren who was recently named our President of US Distribution. During our conversation she stated the company was transitioning to automatics because it gives the company the opportunity to cast a wider net for more candidates. So CDL holder’s with restrictions will still have an opportunity to get a job with GFS. She also stated that auto’s typically have less wear and tear which equates to less dollars being spent on maintenance.

No, it doesn’t necessarily change the route just adds more work if you have to dig for cases due to a pallet not stacked in route sequence.
