For Y2K I was 18.
All my family was at my grandparents house for new years watching the countdown in the basement rec room.
They were freakin out. Lol
I knew nothin was gonna happen.
Right as the countdown started on the tv, me and my 13 year old cousin sneaked out and flipped the breakers to the whole house right when it hit zero.
Lol All we heard was kids and adults screaming and panicking.

While y2k did mess up some systems all that happened in alot of cases if something wasn't patched it just though it was 1900. It's likely something we will repeat in 2100. I mean if the world survives. The majority of us will be dead but I'm sure there will be a few youngens alive. Although recently I believe before covid life expectancy dropped a tiny bit likely due to our sedentary life styles and what alot of people eat. I think people are getting better at not eating crap but alot still do

I worked for a major Insurance Co. supporting network infrastructure - I worked New Year's Eve > New Year's day, overnight. A 12-hour shift. Nothing happened because those of us in IT fixed the issues well before the clocks changed!
Old school Em! I was a freshman in High School when this album came out.
Those who get bullied their whole childhood usually end up being bullies as well. The Y2K thing was blown way out of proportions by the media. Those in IT knew there was no issues to be had because the coding was using the Star Trek way of counting what day it was.
When y2k happened I had been working during the day on NYE at the supermarket checkout and the lines were all the way back to the back of the store. I never thought we'd get out of work 😱 but thankfully the company closed the store at £pm so we could go home and class as wanted (weirdly an as for that very supermarket just popped up👀 and I didn't say it out loud.wtaf!) SO I was about to turn 20 that month so our plan was we spent NYE2k at an "invitation for regulars only" bar shindig getting plastered with my boyfriend of the time along with all his family and friends. It was a savage night, great tunes, balloon drop ...good times 😁😁😁 I am a LONG time Em fan ..I even ended up being nicknamed Slim because I used to ( from 20-22) get up and rap some of his songs for karaoke and not to toot my own horn but I always won the competitions, the prizes were always bottles of vodka or the like in pubs hahahahaha 😉

During Y2k? I was 13. Making my day "the best day ever" cause in my 13 yr old brain, if it was gonna end, " I was braking out the popcorn" and was telling everyone I knew I loved them. I still do that to this day. If I leave a person's house, I at least tell them I appreciate them. If my parents call,my last words before "bye" are "I love you". Cause I don't know what will happen tomorrow, but they will know how I feel.

In MMLP, the track before "I'm Back" is "Remember Me" and on "Remember Me" Eminem says he wouldn't use the word 'fucking' for 6 minutes. In the last 50 seconds of "Remember Me" it says "6 minutes Slim Shady you're on" Eminem doesn't use the word 'fucking' from that time and soon as "Remember Me" ends, "I'm Back" starts. "I'm Back" is 5.10 minutes long. When you add the last 50 seconds of "Remember Me" it's a complete 6 minutes and he neves uses the word 'fucking' even in "I'm Back" lol.

We lived in a trailer on Grand River in Okemos, MI. My mom didn't show any fear what so ever, so neither did I. I was 10 years old.
