keep on mind that if you get any errors like connection time out, just reboot from the Oracle Cloud panel, wait till your server reboots and try to log into the panel after installing it, then you can go on with wings installation
I just wanted to tell you that in the video you show the 8080 port, but in your website it is not in the list of required ports for pterodactyl. It is needed for wings to connect properly.

The mobile app is no longer in working order as said in pterodactyl discord server. That app only worked with Pterodactyl v0.7 which is now end of life.

it's gotta be firewall man, make sure ufw is disabled if you are on ubuntu. Firewalld otherwise. Also try the cmds below to open up iptables: $ iptables -P INPUT ACCEPT $ iptables -P OUTPUT ACCEPT $ iptables -P FORWARD ACCEPT $ iptables -F
You probably chose your "image" as Oracle Linux. You'd have to terminate and start up a new Virtual Machine and choose the image as ubuntu, as Pterodactyl supports that OS (it's also what HPCrafter is using in these videos)
how did you do that when you ping / join the server before you connect very quickly? I have a problem that my server pings for a long time and it takes a long time to access it. you can help?
is cause you might be using the IP address which takes longer to "locate" with a domain name is faster cause your PC ask to a different server to know what route should be taken, and you can even set different subdomains to a domain for example "mc.domain.com" will point to the minecraft server itself and "panel.domain.com" will point to the panel's server, that why we setup nodes, in this case you are installing a local server so you won't need to create more nodes rather than the local node

I installed the pterodactyl, all udp and tcp ports are open, listening, i can ping the ip etc, but the site time-outs when I browse to it

no such file or directory error in first step
how to change version? because when another server is installed.jar will not start

You can always set it up without pterodactyl.

Make sure you have the port 8080 open and added to your firewall as udp and tcp. I was having the same issue.
