I didn't think about Armorer artificer like this, but GOD do I love this concept. Having an Eldritch being living inside us and protecting us is such an awesome concept.
Quick point- in 2e spelljammer there was a D&D version of the Guyver with all the powers it had made into a D&D monster (Sans Mega Blaster and made into a less powerful blaster )
As much as I love the concept, you could take even more advantage of the eberron setting by playing a ruin bound dwarf that was born with a symbiont in their body. this would also let you attune to one magic item that has the symbiotic nature property without using an attunement slot. One of my favorite characters to play as he was covered in eyes each representing a cantrip that he could take on a long rest. My favorite armorer I've played to date. I love the flavor here!
My dm helped me make my own armor model called cannonball, he focuses his power into his armor and shoots forward in a ball of pure star power (he found a dying star with his father and his father being an artificer he tried making a contraption to hold the stars power to run a civilization but it was too powerful and killed him, my character saw it was killing him and tried grabbing him but was blown back and lost an arm and leg from it, the star imbued itself into him as he was bleeding out to revive him and he’s now imbued with the explosiveness of a star) I saw your symbiote idea and built off it and I’m so excited for this campaign
As a damage junkie I probably wouldn’t use this exact build but I love the flavor. The Armorer has so much flavor potential, it’s a shame the mechanics are so bad.
guildmasters guide to ravnica campaign. simic hybrid artificer armorer. bioengineering organic armorer integrated plants, insects, and aquatic lifeforms to make a survival adaptive experiment. the campaign has alot of mutations and adaptations added in like biomancers attaching extra arms and implanting eyes with darkvison.
When I eventually get to find a campaign I can play with the Arnourer, I'm either going to be using this concept or I'm just going to play as Kamen Rider Gotchard.
I’m going to play as a cyborg brain in a jar that can plug himself into any humanoid robot or armor kind of like a symbiotic robot parasite. He is best in intelligence, charisma, wisdom, and dexterity without his host body. The robot host body gives him strength but lowers his speed, without the host body he is speedy. This is for our fallout inspired d&d campaign
@@jignaciovitale3460 I've heard fighter/rune knight but a lot of artificers power comes from n infusions. So dipping that far slows down artificer coming online. It seems the best bet is dip fighter or wizard 1 level or do artificer 3 wizard X.
@@jignaciovitale3460 but at that point you might as well just play a rune knight. Because the artificer just isn't going to get its great abilities till much much later. Plus str is pretty much a dump Stat. You can use it but they don't need str for armor. So dipping fighter means str becomes needed. You wouldn't get extra attack till at least level 8? That's a huge hit to fighters damage.
Yeah, but they're not a suit of armour, they're living creatures. It's like if the Guyver suit took control of its host 24/7 instead of only if they are unconscious. Plus they're genetically modified elves.

Blue beetle and Venom of course too!
OMG Guyver reference represent! 🙌
Finally a dwarf build. Thank you!

Guyver is what I based mine on.
I'm currently in the process of creating a variant human based off of the Guyver for DND.
😎 nice job josh!!
Cool :)

yes this is what I've been working on! what about kython armor?

Awesome build,i like it.
The only things i thinking about its more damage, don't know how to do it.
Concensus is the armorer isn't a damage dealer and never will be. It's a decent tank and solid support.
@@Nimaes45173 i know...but to give it more power, maybe multiclass with Rune Knight?

@@Nimaes45173 true, but you only needs 3 lvl of fighter for the extra damage of the Rune Knight.

They already exist in Spelljammer. They're called "Bionoids."

an easier way is Tasha's Custom Lineage into a Bionoid
True, but it's more like you sre the armour instead of the guy wearing it.
