- Sandy Brondello, Leonie Fiebich, and Breanna Stewart spoke with the media following the Liberty's 83-69 win against the Dream in Round 1 Game 1 on September 22, 2024.

Wow amazing performance by whole New York Liberty tonight. The rotation that Sandy and the new York liberty coach executed today was superb and amazing. This Jumbo roation was not only phenomenal and amazing they went out there and did their thing tonight and was to win. This was a physical game tonight. But tonight the New York Liberty showed they have complete team and players to win a playoff game during the post season and preseason and the pieces as well. And not only that aslo the players that have the ability to execute to win playoff games as well. And they also showed tonight they have complete players to win playoff games effectively as well. Leonie Feibich had her best game of this season with a phenomenal performance 21 points in 25 minutes.That goes individually and collectivity this preseason and post season playoff time as well. I definitely believe this jumbo rotation is what theyshould go on using moving forward against Atlanta with players on the liberty able to switch defensively and still play phenomenal defensive and interrupt the Dream offensive from the opening minute to the final minutes of the game. And holding several Dream starters to season low. Due to liberty defense only player was Tina Howard in double figures for the first quarter. The rest of the Dream starters to had quiet and low scoring game. And that was phenomenal from the New York liberty and you have to give them credit for their defensive plays through out whole game getting stops and stealing and out rebounding the Dream. But what stands out to me for this playoff game other than Fiebech performance . Was the New York liberty rotation was phenomenal tonight .That just show the phenomenal growth of this team through the season between preseason and through the season in general.And Sabrina as well she has an excellent game with Breanna Stewart on the offensive end and defensve end. I definitely believe Sabrina and Breanna understood sharing the ball in the jumbo rotation tonight phenomenally.And knew they had to be involved of the offensive and the defensive end as well. And that extends to every player part of the jumbo rotation of the New York liberty. The key word before tipoff was the word was win and that what they diftonight and they all should be proud of tonight perfomance. Because they won and they won at home as well.They should proud of tonight perfomance collectivity a statement win. It was good to see Kennedy Burke get reduced minutes she definitely is a nonfactor for this series and good she a was only used for 11 minutes you dont want burke d'angelo russell causing you guys to loss this series. Starting Nyra Sabally and aslo a great decision as well tonight . The new York liberty defense need to continue need to hold these players for the fewest point possible for first round playoff series Naz Hillmon,Lorela Cubaj, Allisha Gray,Maya Caldwell and Ezinne. They executed well on Sunday game and they need to continue that phenomenal performance for the rest of this series against the Dream.Player stats and liberty leaders for this game Fiebich with 21 points 10 assists and 1 rebounds in 25 minutes of basketball play. And 7-8 FG. Stewart with 20 points 3 assists and 11 rebounds in 32 minutes of basketball playing time. And 7-16 FG from the field goal line Sabrina with 17 points five rebounds and five assists in 23 minutes of basketball playing time . And she went 5-11 and 3-7 from the Field goal and the 3 Field goal line as well. Laney hamilton 5-10 from the Field Goal line with 10 points played phonomenal defense tonight.Jonquel Jones the Bahamian beast with 7 rebound 9 points and three in 22 minutes of playing time. And Sabally with only 2 pionts bu excellent defensive coming from the forward. This New York Liberty team is an elite and dangerous 3 point team and defensively and offensively as well that love to win and know how to win. I believe during the and several games during the regular get enough credit as a team and individual players of what they do offensively and defensively and tonight I'm giving them Credit the fsns definitely gave them credit for packing the stadium. And for celebrating Fiebich best game of the season. they all deserve the credit tonight excellent win tonight by the New York Liberty and excellent basketball game. Lets keep moving forward and keep winning more playoff games go Liberty Nation.

Starting Leonie was a brilliant move. I felt that when Sloot was gone that this was actually a better lineup most days. And I think Leo is a huge upgrade from Marine, on both sides of the ball. So much more steady. Way better defender.
When Sloot was out and Leo was inserted, the Libertybolayed their best. This lineup is huge, and most teams can't match their size. It's a match-up nightmare because all five players can shoot or get to the basket.
