They should’ve added vestibules to these trains which separates the doors area from the seating area so that noise is kept to a minimum from people getting on and off and the doors beeping, and also maintains the temperature in the seating area. What do you all think?
HAPPY NEW YEARS PHILL Btw I like how the announcement said “ This is a Central Coast and Newcastle line service to Central stopping at Strathfield and Central” they should add it to the Waratahs
I believe they are going to soon have a 3rd 8 car D set enter service into the CCN line, but i can not completely confirm this as this is what I can see of the timetable! (Correct me if im right or wrong)
Interesting observation; when in the lower deck of a Sydney double deck carriage, the line if sight from the window is basically level with the platform. However, in Melbourne double deck carriages, which had a short service existence during the 1980's and 1990s, the lower deck line of sight was a few feet above the platform. Question, are Melbourne train station platforms lower than Sydney or were the Melbourne double deck carriages slightly higher?
Hey Phil, I'm not sure if you're still taking requests, but i would love you to do a Hawkesbury River or Wondabyne vlog. That would be amazing. Happy new year mate and I loved this video 👍
Thankyou for taking us along with you Phil. I think I would have preferred you travel in the quiet car, instead of hearing the constant background chatter. If ever I travel again I will definitely be utilising the quiet car
I was going to ask the same question. Travelling too Blue Mtns April shame they won’t be operating then! Will check out the new Metro whilst visiting Sydney.
Some set numbers of the new fleet are missing, D19 with D119 and D128 with D28 and D29 with D129 and D30 with D130 and D148 with D48 and D49 with D149 and D138 with D38 and D12 with D112 and D39 with D139 and D118 with D18 and D114 with D14 and D10 with D110
At the moment we do not have all Mariyung NIF Fleet new numbers transferred from Korea to Australia. Only just 12 of the new futuristic fleet bringing to Australia from Korea left for transferring around Sydney
Not a big fan of these Mariyung trains, the seats are too upright and there is only one desirable seat per carriage compared to four, the disabled seats are less comfortable if you want to view the scenery from a single deck perspective and it just feels cramped
Well that's my Mariyung trip ticked off. Now for the CAFs from Wauchope to Central, but I don't know if I'll live long enough. I turn 80 this year.
im sure you will be around. it has been a great era this past decade to see all these new trains in action.
You’ll be around mate! :)
I love the automatic water and soap dispensers from a single box/system
I just like how it's done, the toilets seem so nice

im so glad the mariyungs are in service, theyre such amazing trains!
Agreed
Epping looks a lovely old station, very similar to Lithgow(where I’m from) with the high banks on the sides 😀
HAPPY NEW YEARS PHILL

Nice video Phil, I think the D sets are cool but it’s sad to see V sets go.
Happy New Year 2025. Glad to see you. Phil.

Nice video Phil. I really need to do a trip on one of the D sets to see what they are like.

background noise adds authenticity.

Nice video
how do they access the track to paint the pillars?
A new train and its already slightly filthy :p
With is the blue mountains line gonna get the D set in service?
Probabaly later this year
@@sydneytrainsvlogs We always get the goods last especially us Penrith people. Penrith needs Light Rail badley

What editing app did you use Phil?
What will the next few Transfers of Brand New Mariyung D Set numbers will have while coming from overseas?
haven't they all arrived?
Some set numbers of the new fleet are missing, D19 with D119 and D128 with D28 and D29 with D129 and D30 with D130 and D148 with D48 and D49 with D149 and D138 with D38 and D12 with D112 and D39 with D139 and D118 with D18 and D114 with D14 and D10 with D110
12 new fleet missing sets left therefore, then we can have all Brand New Intercity Future Next Generation of Sydney Trains altogether in Sydney
At the moment we do not have all Mariyung NIF Fleet new numbers transferred from Korea to Australia. Only just 12 of the new futuristic fleet bringing to Australia from Korea left for transferring around Sydney
Hello! Does anybody know if the kset trains are still in service? If so, where can i find them?
Yes, peak hours or early morning on weekdays👍 on anytrip you can set a filter to see where all k sets are whether in service or empty running
@ thank you! does that apply on the weekend too?
@@pythonx66 nope, they are stabled on weekends, however they do occasional transfer runs which you can find on triplists or anytrip
@ thanks

I caught one of these today from Wyong to Woy Woy, left Wyong at 2:16pm
