My theory?
Frisk ‘saves’ the overwritten Xtale characters, and XChara fights Gaster.
Eventually, XGaster gets a reenactment of timeline X, except Cross is actually there to kill Gaster, once and for all.
gotta love the addition of the deltarune theme to adult xchara's theme, works perfectly with xechara's theme

honestly, i would suggest Chara's soul changing to Obsession - compared to the powerful yet breakable determination, obsession is the will to go through with something, no matter what; even if you're suffering, even if you feel like you can't keep going, even if you feel like you're going insane, or that there's no point, or that it'll be futile... *keep going* . more, and more, and more, and further and further, no matter how much someone breaks you or how hurt, hesitant, hopeless, etc. you are; in a way, you being a tool to your own will, and not the other way around

@@noba04 well... determination is the will to go through something no matter what, however, that will can be changed. obsession however takes it a step further - absolutely no matter what happens, no matter the universe, there's little to no chance of it changing; it will *always* keep focusing on the goal, to the point of insanity if needed. for example, a determination soul might fight back when they are attacked and are determined to win, however, their will can still be broken no matter how determined they are. obsession however will literally stab you after you already stabbed/shot them several times so long as there's still a way for the body to move, even if they're dying, they don't give a frick if they would die and won't be able to come back to life, all that matters is the goal, pretty much nothing else
@@noba04 meaning that if X Chara's soul was obsession and they really wanted Gaster dead, then they would take him down, even if they would end up erased, would have to kill X Frisk, etc.; an obsession so strong that not even Overwrite can change it

@Kaoo timelines are a big deal in underverse, and multiple timelines means multiple of the same person with different experiences
@Kaoo it doesn't have to be overwritten to access two simultaneous timelines
@@Miss_Eldritch yeah gaster explains how timeline branching happens and how overwrite stops that
@@someguy443 but in the event of a reset it would still occur, we have witnessed the reset occur in their timeline through the XTale series, timeline branching is going to occur as long as the controller of the ability to reset doesn't feel the same way as Gaster does
