To find Large Orc Skulls, is in their camps. There will be skulls on the ground attached to the wooden posts and near the firepit in the middle. Also there are chests in the camps. To mine the skulls, just use a axe.
Hey @Surtur. Here’s what I’ve done so far. It’s great you have the Steam above your production, what I did was ihave unlocked tier 4 production so I can build parts, so what I did was below the steam floor is solely copper and built an identical setup above the steam floor for iron production. my lower floor was set up solely for copper with 4 seperate setups , one each for copper plate, copper pipes, copper bowls and finally copper pans. Each set consisted of two boilers (so you have enough to power a line of copper and a line of iron. With the steam tank ( which by the way acts as a backup steam supply if you run out of coal , just plug it in wherever you can), as I have another production set up above the steam and fed steam lines up to it from the steam floor saving space and resources. The copper and the iron floors have😮 four lines each line being fed with two belt boilers and one steam tank, one auto crusher, two smelters and two constuctors. So it is one copper line below and one iron line above on the two belt boilers set up The Iron floor is making Iron cogs, iron plates, iron pick axe bundle and iron tools. The water and steam are belt fed coal which is a game changer btw. On the copper floor the copper pans and pots are being fed straight into the automatic Kings Market on that floor . Then the same was done on the iron floor with the iron pickaxe bundle and iron tool into its own Auto Kings Market. I also have an ale barrel set up with 6 Auto Farms, 1 barrel maker all feeding one brewery machine with the ale barrels being fed into its own Auto Kings market. With that I’m a day into that set up and I’m just about to hit 1 million gold in my bank vault, so it’s worth getting the Auto market asap. In build mode great tip is when constructing, you can walk up to a existing item and by just clicking the middle mouse button you can copy that item and build it ( Proving you have the parts) it can be kind of used as a a way to pin an item as when you press the button it shows you the items required to make it in the bottom middle of the screen, unfortunately it doesn’t stay up you you perform another action 😕. I hope this made sense 👍👌
to repair . . . use the build tool but click x twice . . . it shifts between the functions i think the conveyor belts work best for now . . . sad, i love the idea of the carts
One thing that I can think of for the dev to help get the Minecarts to work, is "similar" to Satisfactory in a way. Each Station can spawn multiple minecart right? So they could add a small condition to the minecarts where they only export from the Station they were spawned from. Or they could go a step further and allow the player to rename Stations, and every Minecart spawned from a Station with the same name, will export & import from those Stations. For example, you have 6 Stations on one track (2 Iron, 2 Copper, 2 Coal). You then want both Iron carts and Copper carts to go to their respective import stations but, you want 1 Coal station to supply the Steam that powers the Drills, and one to supply your base. You could then rename the first Coal Station to "Coal 1", and the second to "Coal 2", as well as the respective import Stations. That way the minecarts from exporting "Coal 1" will be offloaded at the importing "Coal 1" and likewise for "Coal 2".
Your setup is looking really good! Well done. I have tried to use the carts a bit, but that system is kinda funky right now. Needs more functionality to make it work smoothly imho. I just use belts for now. Hopefully they will get some love in the future.
Seven tracks. Coal, Iron, Copper, Silver, Gold, Wood and Stone. Aww heck, then there is gems... I guess you strap a steam tank to the splitter, and steam continues for a while after your coal runs out?
Maybe if you merge belts into one loading station you could get the carts to pick up everything, then keep the daisy chain for unloading? You'd only be able to run 3 things per line, but that's about the best solution I can think of.
Steam tank. Just connect it to any spare output of a steam splitter, and any excess steam will be stored there until it gets to 1000. Then if your water runs out due to lack of coal or enemies breaking the coal input, then it will use the steam tank to power the factory as a backup generator. It is pretty useless because 1000 steam will get eaten in a few seconds.
Carts issue could be solved with a filter on thecart itself so it can only pick up one ore. Until that happens run belts or separate cart lines for each ore. Im turning enemies off my next run. Gold reward for collecting skulls not worth all the other hastles.
@@surtrplays It sounds like they are using the same part of the software for carts as they do for orcs... so turning off enemies, essentially turns off the carts interaction as well. I have seen that before in several game mods, where the modder wanted to save programming time.
Maybe you must respawn cart from each machine and not from one. Maybe carts are connected to where they was spawn. You can also make water pump get more automated whit upgrading.
I did ale farming asap and it was my first permanent automated setup. Then you can relax and build and design whilst stacking coin. I hate paying blacksmiths any coin. They are currently unemployed in my world and getting benefits from the Kingdom to live on.
Yeah, steam pipe's aren't directional, it just has to be connected and it works. Fills up with excess steam, discharges back into the pipe system if the boiler goes out.
i have see the monsters multiple time spawn in the air and fall that how they alway destroy my base roof and enter it sometime goblin are literally 3 wall up destroying the fourth one with nothing to stand on ...i need to build stairs just to go kill them

I will try that. Thanks.
Did you try spawning carts at each station?
I did a few tests. Nothing worked.

That sounds like a great setup. Thanks for all of the tip. Awesome!

i think the conveyor belts work best for now . . . sad, i love the idea of the carts
I agree that conveyor belts are more reliable right now. Thanks for the repair tip. I didn't see that before.
@ I didn’t see it for a while either!

I believe the devs are working on fixing the carts.
Press X to switch modes on the building hammer it has 3 options, place, destroy, repair
Thanks. I guess I am a little slow.
To repair, get the build hammer out, press X to switch build mode (X by default), after destroy is repair mode.
Thanks very much.
Your setup is looking really good! Well done.

Thanks. I am sure they will work on the carts. That is what early access is for.
Seven tracks.
Coal, Iron, Copper, Silver, Gold, Wood and Stone.
Aww heck, then there is gems...
I guess you strap a steam tank to the splitter, and steam continues for a while after your coal runs out?
After releasing the video I started thinking is a 2-way thing. Goes in while there is steam and releases when the is no steam in the system. Thanks.

This is what I was thinking. Merge everything into one loading station and just spam loads of carts. But right now, belts are king.
You still have the problems of backlogs jamming up the whole system. Good idea though.
Many thanks. I made the mistake of thinking of steam as a liquid.
Are you dispatching all the carts from the iron station? Maybe that's why you're just getting all iron
I dispatched from other stations too. Same problem. There needs to be a setting that makes a cart pick up only a full stack or it should move on.
With the building tool, hit X once to destroy, twice to repair.
Thank you very much.
You need an auto market the way it can just sell straight to the thing to put the money in your vault and you don't have to worry about money anymore
I'm busy with that.
Carts issue could be solved with a filter on thecart itself so it can only pick up one ore. Until that happens run belts or separate cart lines for each ore. Im turning enemies off my next run. Gold reward for collecting skulls not worth all the other hastles.
I tried that but couldn't interact with the carts.
@@surtrplays It sounds like they are using the same part of the software for carts as they do for orcs... so turning off enemies, essentially turns off the carts interaction as well. I have seen that before in several game mods, where the modder wanted to save programming time.

I tried that and unfortunately it didn't work.
The respawning needs to be fixed. Items should not respawn in places where building has occurred.
100%
You added minecarts from the first minecart station only... you need to add carts to the other stations to run along the line
I did try that. It didn't work. Devs are looking at improvements.
a farm wood be nice as it sells the grog at the end
It will happen eventually.
@@surtrplays constent coins

Maybe try using just one sending station.
There is still the problem of one resource clogging up the whole system. Coal would do that very quickly because it isn't used much.
Unlock gold and silver hunting in the navigator research.
I don't know why I keep forgetting that. Thanks.
make stairs wider that would be me .
I should, I'm lazy.
may be like a buffer i.e. a balast tank to maintain hi presure over distance it would only need one in, dont know thouugh pure speculation!
Thank you, so it is 2-way.
Yeah, steam pipe's aren't directional, it just has to be connected and it works. Fills up with excess steam, discharges back into the pipe system if the boiler goes out.
change the build mode by pressing x to repair.
Thanks.
To repair use the build hammer and switch to repair mode
I didn't even see a repair made. Thanks.
@surtrplays just cycle through the modes
Thanks very much.
@@surtrplays your welcome good series by the way

Ahh okay. Makes sense now.
Pretty
