I hope the japanese inject more character into the bikes. Im looking at buying another bike for my area and i want to get my monies worth. Theres advantages and disadvantages but an air cooled fuel injected is easier to run, it sounds good with the fsctory exhuast, less ugly flat black, steel thats chrome plated. Its some quality. Its interesting to just stand and look at becsuse its got all these funny looking motor pieces you dont normally see.

Vielen Dank für dieses schöne Extra-Video zusätzlich zu dem anderen, wo du das Bike vorstellst. Gerade bei Motorrädern mit so einem tollen aber dennoch unaufdringlichem Sound sollte es immer ein RAW SOUND Video geben. Macht total Lust auf mehr. Dazu eine tolle Streckenwahl ohne Stadt oder Ampeln. Triggert mich hart, die W800 🤤

der Sound ist echt Serie? fast nicht zu glauben, einfach toll. Das Motorrad hab ich bis jetzt total übersehen, optisch gefällt es mir super gut und dann dieser Sound, muss gleich mal zum Händler❤️

Vulcans are nice. Their bigger engine models esspecially. So much motorcycle for very budget when you pick up a good one used.
I have seen these in Hong Kong. What I like about retro bikes is the flat seat, which means that you can ease back and the footpegs are more forward so you can have more legroom; I am tall. The sound also reminds me of my dad's Norton 500 twin. The proper mudguards and chrome are also plusses for me.

Yes im looking at bikes about 7,000-12000 USD and its a good range to be in for a new motorcycle. Theres a huge plethora and only growing it seems

Huh? That is the exhaust note. Maybe some intake sound. If the engine itself is making that much noise something is wrong. Kawasaki tunes the exhaust on the W800

You ride this bike very well. I'm quite sure Kawasaki had you in mind when they drew the motorcycle. They are an incredibly rewarding motorcycle. Why they aren't more popular, I don't know.

Just bought 2020 cafe version. Love it but way quieter than i expected. Exhaust mod vidios i've watched look labor intensive and it's still under warrenty so i guess I'll be listening to the wind for now. It's OK, I've got the loudest, unbaffled, dyna tuned Harley on earth.😊
Newer models got a newer emission standard, which plugs the pipe even more..
Btw. Kawa sells the same pipes without the emission plug ;)
Bis jetzt dachte ich, die Bonnevilles klingen am geilsten, aber was dieser echte R2 da an Sound heraus zaubert ist mehr als beeindruckend.
Leider ist der Preis der W800 schon ziemlich knackig für 48 PS.

Absolut! Und wenn man will, kann man diesem Motorrad auch noch etwas mehr „Druck“ verleihen. Es gibt viele Umbauten in der Richtung. Da ist noch einiges an Potential vorhanden 😉

It sounds great! Out of curiosity, where did you have the microphone positioned? It sounds like it may have been close to the exhaust tips. It sounds too good to be true that it sounds that good to the rider!

Oh, man.....that sounds more like a Triumph than a Triumph does, at least the newer 270 degree Triumphs. I cut my motorcycle teeth on a 1972 Triumph Daytona, and listening to this brings back those wonderful days. I've been watching a lot of W800 videos, this one best showcases the sound because the videographer isn't running his mouth while riding. I would be interested in hearing your take on how well the bike pulls from low speed, such as dropping from a highway speed to go through a small village, then accelerating back to speed, but without downshifting in the village. I remember my Daytona would pull reasonably well in 4th (it only had four speeds) from 25 mph without lugging or jerking, so you really didn't have to shift much once you were in high gear unless you really wanted to get on it.
I ride the 2014 model and love it, it pulls good from low revs, but i caught myself shifting just for the sake of hearing it, over and over again.. xD
Even when overloaded a little, it pulls great. Going fast is okay too, arround 130kmh it starts to get pretty windy without a windshield my top speed on the AB was 165kmh on the speedo (155 GPS).
Depending on tires, and overal setup and adons, it starts to wobble arround that speed, but nothing one couldnt control. ^^

I had one (stock) and it absolutely did not sound like this! Did you buy this bike new, or might the previous owner have already change the exhaust system?
It’s an original Testbike from Kawasaki Germany, that i rode for a couple weeks. No modification done ✌️
Is this motorcycle smooth (especially through the handlebar grips) at speeds above 70mph U.S.? I used to have a 2001 Triumph Bonneville, and it was pretty coarse above 70. (But very smooth below that speed)
I have a 2020 W800. There is a bit of vibration between 55 and 70 mph. Under 55 and over 70 it is better. Overall even in the "buzzy" range I don't find it bad at all.

I’m not 100% shure if it was EU4 or EU5. But that doesn’t change anything. The bike sounds amazing without being too loud. Greetings René

Sorry if I insist but I've seen a video where the tester said that the sound is different between the two version and the sound is, to me, one of the reason i fell in love with the bike I've seen in your video. Schade, dass sie mittlerweile so richtig teuer geworden ist. 11045 Euro kostet das 2023er Modell mit Überführung - heftig für 48 ps, so schön sie auch ist. Meine 2014er W800 hab ich damals am Ende der Saison neu vom Kawa-Händler für 7T bekommen...Und so dramatisch anders war die damals auch nicht.
Das stimmt. Allerdings sind seit dem eben auch 8 Jahre vergangen und im Moment sind Motorräder überhaupt wahnsinnig teuer. Dazu kommen eben dann auch noch die kleinen Upgrades.
Allerdings kannst Du Dich glücklich schätzen, wenn Du noch eine so günstige bekommen hast. Denn seit dem ist eben nicht wirklich viel geändert worden 😃
@@Motozedz meinen Infos zu Folge gab es bei der Neuauflage 2019 einen neuen, überarbeiteten Rahmen.
Wie sehr das zu merken ist, keine Ahnung. Wollte immer mal mit meiner 99er W650 zum Händler und dort die aktuelle W800 zum Vergleich testen. Das reizt mich jetzt doch wieder etwas mehr 😁

@@Robert-gp1um Yes, Although I’m happy with my Triumph Street Twin I think if had the money And really wanted a motorcycle with that British feel but modern and reliable the Kawasaki w800 is definitely the way to go.
When you get into that town and take off short shifting the the gears, you could never do that on a Triumph T100, they just don't have the torque.

These things thrive on being ridden that way. The engine braking and gearing really invites you to "ride" them, but at "real world" speeds.

Hey Hauke. Ich glaube dass das Kniewinkel auch bei Deiner Größe sehr gut passt, oder gerade da. Mir ist er eigentlich deutlich zu unsportlich, so dass ich immer mal gerne die Soziusrasten benutze 😉✌️

Ich habe vor kurzem meine w800 cafe mit nur 1000 km verkauft. Umbau auf flachen Lenker. Fantastischer Sound, aber die originale Cafe Sitzbank ist viel zu schmal und ein Folterstuhl. Um die 100 km/h feine nervtötende Vibrationen, die die Geschlechtsteile einschlafen lassen. Schade, denn von der Optik und vom Sound her sind die W800 wunderschön. Leider unfahrbar!
Haha. Also mein Geschlechtsteil ist verdammt lebendig 😂. Ich würde sagen, dass das sehr „typabhängig“ ist.
Aber klar, nicht jedes Bike taugt für jeden Hintern. Im Zweifel kann man da aber auch nachbessern. SW-Motech bietet bspw. super schöne Sitzumbauten an. Neben der Optik kann man da auch die Form, Ergonomie und die Polsterung anpassen lassen 😃✌️
Der preisliche Abstand zur Z 900 ist aber sehr gering.
Das sind aber zwei völlig unterschiedliche Bikes.

Ja, die W800 verfügt über eine Ausgleichswelle.
@@Motozedz Vielen Dank, sind die Vibrationen für dich OK? Ich hatte mal eine Honda Shadow 1100 mit V2 Motor, die Vibrationen waren so stark dass sich Schrauben lösten und das Kennzeichen Risse bekam, ich habe sie dann auch verkauft, nicht schön...
Ich hatte die W800 nur für einige Wochen als Testmotorrad, deswegen kann ich nichts zu Langzeitwirkungen sagen. Beim fahren empfand ich es als völlig ok. Meine NX650 vibriert da deutlich mehr.
