Love to see that your Dad and the car found each other and am looking forward to seeing his progress and more of your videos as I can tell he's having a great time with his project!!
I had a black one with a white convertible top had the gold inserts in the side trim for a short period when I was 16 I couldn"t bring it home because my parents didn't know that I had it. I agree I think was the best looking car ford ever made . Hows that Y block ? Ive had quite a few Y blocks and presently have a 312 in a 16 foot Century runabout. Thats a solid 57 hope to see more. Best wishes.
Hey ya'll!! Back when I was a little kid ( 3-4 years old) my Mother made and sold butter. Every couple of days Uncle John her brother would come by to pick up butter and Momma would fix him breakfast. One day he came in a new car a Red & White 57 Fairlane Convertible!!!! He Took me for a ride in!!!!!! My first time driving a HOT Rod I stood on the seat, Uncle John held onto me while he guided my driving he also let me have a drag off his Camel!! I do remember him laughing his head off while we flew down the road!!! A few years later Uncle John's son wrecked that Fairlane totaled it. When I was about 15 I sat down with 2 of his sons who found out that he had bought it for them to drive and race it . I came with a 312 2 four barrels and a Paxton Supercharger. Back then they raced Ronnie Sox, Buddy Martin locally.
Wow, that is a rust free car!!! Congratulations!!!
