UPDATE April 3, 2021: First off, thank you to everyone who flooded this vid with views and subs this past week. I appreciate every one of you for coming! And thank you RUclips algorithm for reaching out to them! I'm so glad to see this vid start taking off, and it even beat my GigaWing 2 video's views that took 12 years to reach, wow! I might have to change my PFP to a yellow Ferrari F50, LOL! Anyway, I play a lot of niche games so hopefully you'll find more to like on my channel.
And just because of the influx of views, I just turned on my 360 and booted up OutRun (among other games) and it still works and the external hard drive didn't crash. But also, I'M SO RUSTY!! I managed to pass my ghosts in 1 section of the Water Falls stage in 15-Stage Time Attack, so there's something. Maybe the next OutRun vid will be 15-Stage Time Attack, or possibly Heart Attack. In this run, I totally obliterated my old record of 3.16M on the 15-Course mode, many years after I left the game. It's not a perfect run but I'll take it!

I only realized now, at the date of uploading when I played through the game on a whim, how to maximize on pass points during slipstreaming. It basically means you have to enter a car's slipstream and pass it within a certain amount of time. That's important for scoring from Rivals too, a successful slipstream pass is the difference between 25,000 and 50,000 points! You would think I would know that by now, after playing so many hours of OutRun 2006 Coast2Coast and Online Arcade. You'd be mistaken!
In the end, however, it's probably better to just concentrate on scoring in the 'blue' speed zone, when you're slipstreaming past 297 km/h (approximately) when both the speed AND score indicators are blue. Which means the last step for mastery is learning the slipstream exploit, which is basically max speed tailgating. I'm not sure how I feel about that, so I'm going to leave that for now.

It's a shame Ferrari is stupid with their licensing. This game is a gem and deserves to be made available for new players.
I don't remember getting distracted this much by the 18-wheelers, ambulances, ford trucks that were just flying at 270 kmh next to a Ferrari 😂

The beauty of the old school games, you can take an old concept like Outrun, remake it for a far newer system and its still far more fun than any of the newer games being released at the time.

As someone who lives 15 minutes away from Niagara Falls, that scenery is pretty accurate, from the rainbow bridge to the waterfalls to the tourist buildings next to them.

This game is still a fun one today I remember playing the original of this then playing this version on an arcade with steering wheel and then on psp great game great soundtracks
This game is my childhood. Easily my favourite game to play in the arcade growing up.

I kept getting recommended this so had a watch, mainly because I love the original Outrun, but also as I could never get to the latter stages like Milky Way on Outrun2 SP. Because this was all 15 stages, I knew it'd have to be someone who could slipstream and drift way better than I ever could, so congratulations!

Not the latest graphics, not the 3d graphics, nothing can beat the atmosphere of the original outrun & Rad Mobile. These games were way ahead of their time.

And keep in mind that this EXACT game is on OG Xbox. It has the same graphics and fps, only the resolution is lower.
There's a difference in traffic, as well. Here, there's more cars on the road, like the arcade version.

If not a new game, then remaster Outrun 2 and Outrun 2006: coast 2 coast for current gen consoles. PS4, PS5, Xbox one, Xbox series X, and Nintendo switch. Physical and digital.

Thanks, man! Though there is one dude who I call master at this game, he goes by "F40" and, unsurprisingly, uses the F40. The dude's racing line is damn near perfect, almost like a robot! (downloaded his ghosts on the OG XBox)

I have his but haven't played it in a long time. Also had the OG Xbox versions. Right now I'm playing the PC version of OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast. I had forgotten how much bloom the 360 version had.

I like how you get three times as many points for passing a tour bus as you do a rival sports car.
It's 15,000, though, but it's still a huge chunk of points. You can't miss any.

I think this is one of the most beautiful racing games ever, and i don't even mean for its time. Each stage is a sight to behold. Puts anything modern to shame.
