My heart was in my mouth, when you flow past the cross.. i almost thought you were going to hit it.. But super Ken has it in control.. just wanted to say 👋 and give a good long distance covid handshake from the UK..
Great job Ken, as I know flying these sport drones isn’t easy! However, from a photographers perspective, I think the footage would have been much better if you would turn off the auto exposure, as this gets confused with the very bright light of the sunset. I’d experiment with Manuel exposure instead, which might possibly give you more even overall lighting compared to auto in this case.
Really coming along sir, looks like your're really starting to get the FPV bug now...as someone who started with camera drones and moved into FPV a few years ago...understandable, its quite addicting!!!
Hi Kent.. Martin fro Singapore 🇸🇬...I’ve been following your videos for a while and just decided to subscribe to your channel. Just to let you know you have very good videos👍👍👍
Flyno just went out of business. I'd be careful with that frame now lol. Might not be able to get arms if you break one. You're flying has really improved!
have you gotten deep in the woods with the DJI system yet? I'm eager to see it for myself, but also seeing Fatshark is about to send their digital to production
What's also annoying about analog FPV is that the composite signal going to the transmitter is 4x3. Most FPV monitors are 16x9. So the FPV monitor doesn't handle that properly and you end up with a distorted image. I got along flying my Phantom 2 that way. But at least the recorded video on the GoPro was correct.
Most FPV goggles are 4:3, plenty of 16:9 options too (especially box goggles and monitors), but your Camera actually controls the signal's aspect ratio, not the VTX, and some cameras can switch between 16:9 and 4:3 ;)
My Phantom 2 uses a GoPro Hero 3+ Black. Through composite video, it outputs a 16x9 image letterboxed inside a 4x3 frame. So not only do I get a stretched image. I also have black bars on the top and bottom. Of course, those black bars do make the OSD-Mini display on the screen a little more readable. Damn, I need to pull that thing out of the closet and see if it still flies decently. My Mavic 2 Pro's having all the fun now.
@@kcg795 aww man, that's rough..my gopros always have all the radios turned off and screen locked when flying. The good news is you can swap to a 16x9 fpv camera for $20-25
2:37 but also within the first ring of 100 foot maximums that borders the NFZ of Roanoke Regional Airport, class C, and literally the main approach vector for all incoming manned air traffic. You know more about the laws than me so I would like to hear your take on the approval you got. LAANC? I called this airport's ATC once and they were like "why are you calling US no one calls us to fly their drone". So I'm good to go? Yeah sure man. I literally hung up the phone did my flight over the church and wooosh a passenger plane on it's decent went directly over my head. I about had to change my shorts. Took awhile for the adrenaline to go down.
The church is in good airspace. We had LAANC approval. Just need to keep an eye and ear out for hospital traffic. I actually flew my Phantom inside the hospital after my car wreck!😁👍
Not bad man! Is there a reason you fly with such a low camera tilt? I find it so much easier to land and do more precise flying through trees with a low tilt.
Low is great for hovering (and landing), higher tilt for faster drone, and even higher to get crazy acrobatic...I usually roll 25-35 degrees, 25 for cinematic, 35 for RIPPING BALLS ;)
@@Fly_High_FPV I keep mine around 20-25° on my 5". It may seem backwards, but I run a low camera tilt on my little toothpick so I can fly around in the trees with more precision.
Ken has barely been flying for a year now. He knows his limits, yet knows when to push. He was planning on using the Skoll for a shoot later, so didn't want to do anything too risky. Also, still a bit 😳 after going full send into a concrete support with another kwad. That was in an earlier video.
@@skyfoxfpvulpine I wasn't criticizing. I actually kind of figured running a low tilt was on purpose. I wish I had realized that early on as it would have been way easier to fly when I was getting started out.
Not too long ago I made a comment about your yellow drone. You scolded me and said "I don't have a yellow drone". Apparently today you have a green drone lol... Gotcha back lol
So Ken, you said "when he kwad is tuned for your skill level" Well I have one very cheap one and one kinda expensive Air unit equipped one. I can't control these animals, specially the "cheap" one, though that one I don't ming too much beating it up. I would like to learn how to tune these to my current skill (none) level and of course adjust as I learn. Most tutorials I've seen (actually all) wprk on tuning for the best performance put of the kwad, which is understandable but of course, the best performance is beyond my capabilities. How or from whom did you learn to tune according to pilot's skill? And believe me when I tell you I cannot hover these beasts, seems like every move I make is way too much, blah blah blah I knoe rambling man, HELP!!
Every video your flying improves great to see how far you have come!! inspiring me to get back into trying to learn FPV!
Thanks!
Do it.
Oh the color of the sky is gorgeous! 👍🏻
Nothing like flying at the golden hr. Beautiful!

The Kenclusive to flying your ''Drone'' oops Quad at at the Golden Hour is that you ''Double Crossed'' by the Church Spire twice.
Sweet!
Ripping packs! Two thumbs up
🤘😁🤘
Nice flying Ken.....jeez that sunset tho!!! 😍😍😍😍😍
Thanks Jeff!
Haha, cool, just as I mailed you about fpv this notification came up.
Nice work! Definitely progress Ken, the whole flight is much more controlled.
I feel as though I'm making progress. 😁
That’s it, I’m going DJI FPV too good...
Excellent!
Holy crap when did you improve so much since I last watched? Dude Ken your flying was super smooth in this vid.
hell yeah dude, making me proud!
🤘😁🤘
That was cool.
Yaaa!!! Slow motion FPV!!! :)
😁
Yup, you got the bug. Progressing well too. Wish I could afford to go digital, can barely afford to keep what I got in the air :D.
Thanks bud.
Such fun!

Can never thank you enough for the love! speaking of love...... 4:51 - WHYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice video. Keep it up Sir. See you in your next video. 👍🏆

Hey Ken, come fly in Annapolis over water. It’s so beautiful to FPV. I will join you if you come to Annapolis.
I bet the church has a rectory! Yes pay attention to the building architecture in your town but not while driving!
2:42 My b-hole puckered!
I finally placed my order for the DJI FPV system. I've had too many fail safes on the spektrum.
Excellent!
You'll love it.
Thanks for using my link in the description!
I’m too broken on a both hands. Which FPV ready drone I can buy? :) thanks in advance

Beautiful light and awesome church, too bad the facade was hidden by the scaffolding... Those quad are greet cinematic tools.
Ken - you're really nailing it - you've got your FPV chops now... Great video - but I'll stick to Cinematic...
Thanks!
Still practicing...

So hey Ken
Thinking of getting into FPV.
What is a good ready to fly kit to check out?
Look for a Tiny Hawk. 👍
@@KenHeron thank you sir
@@KenHeron good enough to fly outside? Don't mean to be a pain in your badooty.
Go up to Mill Mountain next Time !!
I so enjoy your stupid humor cause that is sooo me
👌
The images are beautiful at that time, I still didn't have the courage to do FPV, so I'll try, just the landing was hard, lol
Hi Ken, I am trying to get the DJI Goggle, my Question to you since you wear Glasses, Can you wear your Glasses and use it with the DJI Goggle? Thanks
How long does it take to get eyeball stickers after someone has PayPal you $$?
It just depends when I can get to the post office. I went two days ago, so you'll have them soon. 👍
Ken Heron awesome! Looking forward to it. Birds love to sloop down at my MA2.
FPV advice is always free. Here is my advice, as a non FPV'r. "Dont hit nothin"

You take more chances Bc you see every pixel. That’s funny.
You getting better but change the angle of your camera
Will do, thanks.
Looks like you captured a ufo around 2.09 near the moon. Dark spot ? What's that. Ps should have taken your phantom 4 would have looked awesome
Hey Ken, You know how many UAV pilots that school generally allows to fly there? Typically nun. : - )
HAHAHAAA!!🤣
